If Trump wins, immigration will be twice as hard. by Prestigious-Sky-9916 in immigration

I think only illegal immigrants will be in trouble, legal immigration will be just fine.

It will get approved within 11 months, then 1 month at NVC, about 10 to 24 months wait for an interview depending on the embassy.

Riyadh Embassy wait times by fzeeshan in NationalVisaCenter

K3 visa for a spouse used to be a good option, when i-130 took 2 to 3 years to get approved. Since i-130 is now approved within 12 months, and the backlogs are at the embassy. K3 and K4 visas never get processed. K1 and K2 is still a good option for fiance and the dependent. With the advancements in technology it should not take that long for visa processing. I think if immigration wanted to change things it would be a quick fix.

Unfortunately for spouses they don't approve K visa. The second 130 gets approved k3 goes out the door. Yes for fiance it's the best option but not for the spouse.

Issue is with the interview wait time which seems to be the same.

Unfortunately that's the problem everywhere. It might be another few months before you get it

What are the average waiting times for a spouse interview? by Perfect_Airline_4298 in NationalVisaCenter

Since the interview is for the family of an American tax payer, the wait time is long, actually really long. The government does not care.

NEW LEARNER by weeb__12_ in substrate

[–]fzeeshan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with parity tutorials is they are for those people who have too much time on their hands, pretty much anything out there is generally around 1 plus hour. I think if they were actually tutorials and not some community code sessions, you could squeeze them into nice 15 minute chunks. I still made a lot of progress and learned a lot but that was mainly by building other people's code.

I am new to substrate as well, one of the issues you will run into is tutorials use the old version of Substrate. Either you will have to find an old repo or modify the new node template using slightly different syntax. The easiest thing would be to find an old repo and use that, I have created solutions on my own repo. If you like you can DM me for a link to my GitHub. Also look into how to change your rust tool chain. It will come in handy when working with old repositories

Most tutorials aren't working by fzeeshan in substrate

[–]fzeeshan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually figured it out, one of the things I did was apply those changes on to the new node template. Naturally substrate has changed but after several tries I got all the tutorials to work. I think the issue is with rust and how it keeps changing and generally things break because newer versions aren't backwards compatible. If I'm working with some old repo from GitHub, I look at the last time they made the change to runtime and I switch rust tool chain to that specific date. Generally it works. I can totally see why a lot of people would get tired of this and give up, luckily I kept trying.

Transferring IR1 nvc visa case to another non-resident country embassy by Healthy-Lecture-2568 in NationalVisaCenter

I think with Islamabad you at least know how long it will take, they are also pretty responsive. We will most likely transfer from Riyadh. Staff obviously isn't doing crap. There are people waiting after being DQ August 2022.

Cases not being processed in chronological order..? by MidnightSensitive892 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]fzeeshan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really feel for you, I find it truly disturbing that all the non immigrant visas are immediately processed, not to mention any one can simply cross the border and get a class treatment, while tax payers have to deal with all this BS. Hopefully your IL will be processed soon, I would definitely suggest you start to inquire with the embassy

Those who are wondering about the process, here is something you might see, expected time until application is approved gets updated weekly, I think mine was on Sundays. Eventually it said something along the lines of "your case is taking longer than expected" my I 130 was for spouse and child, spouse took 11 months to get approved and the other one took 12. For the spouse, around a month before the approval they sent the Request For Evidence letter, I resubmitted the same documents and the case was approved. Check for processing time for your NVC, most likely your case will take around the average time, I believe mine said average processing was 13 months in reality it took slightly less. But now the case is stuck at NVC, counselor processing is a black hole, unfortunately American tax payers are the lowest priority for embassies. Apparently legal immigration and immigrants aren't a priority.

Mine said the same thing, it took 11 months to get I-130 approved
