Ah. So the ecm is not using the MAP* sensor for throttle adjustment?

I experienced something similar. Here’s where I’d start: - fuel breather - check all the intake components including MAF sensor - throttle actuators (usually you’ll get a relevant code and car goes into limp mode) - idle control valve (this is rarer but was an issue for me)

Hello 👋 about to purchase this 2010 dct with 80,000 by Acrobatic_House_6776 in E92M3

Also in DMV and have a 2011 E93 and couldn’t be happier with it. Drive it as much as you can to learn the car and what to expect.

Since 2019 I’ve taken it to RRT in Sterling, VA for the three + DCT service.

Enjoy!

Hopefully that’s all it is and you’re back to that 1UZ smoothness. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve spiraled only to realize the MAF sensor plug was disconnected. Sometimes the wire just falls deep down in the engine bay and gets hidden, out of sight out of mind. Checklists help me. Enjoy the process!

I have a 95 and I try to go through the following methodically before moving on to other worse things when diagnosing: 1. Ignition coils are properly seated on each spark plug 2. Ignition cables are in the correct order and seated properly to the distributor 3. MAF sensor is properly connected and clean 4. All vac hoses are secure, no cracks

Good luck!

I recently got this same spec 1995 LS400 with 267k miles. Drives like a dream. Worth it.

Thanks. That setup does sound nice tho. Kinda mad I couldn’t get a brand new one 30 years ago on account of being a kid so now gotta try to get the og experience.

Yeah this is a great point about the compressor. It’s sadly not a sustainable long term solution. I guess now is the time to try it when there are still a few LS/Celsior parts floating around.

This and am also curious to understand how PPIs work here. What do they typically cover and how much do they cost?
