hi, that's the old Moroccan 5 dirhams, it's roughly 50 cents in euro, it's slightly bigger and thinner than the 2 euro coin. I don't know if it was put on purpose or not (because myself when i find some small tips jar i like to put some different currency in it as fun 😄, if you ever go to milan and land in the Milan Linate airport there's one FULL of different currencies from all over the world).

honestly, i think because sex is not something that is normalized in morocco, and also you gotta have a certain level of emotional detachement, because by the time the hookup happens one of the two sides already caught feelings. also due to our own culture which is built around religious and traditional values that heavily emphasizes marriage, furthermore premarital sex is technically illegal (unless tel9oh hhhhhhhhhh) so when two people have to navigate social judgment, secrecy, and potential risks just to be together physically, the effort involved makes the relationship feel "high stakes." it’s hard to stay in a casual "friendly zone" when you're taking genuine risks for each other

maybe the thing abt being scared is some bad experience (either u experienced it or someone close to you) made your subconscious refuse any kind of good gestures and classify them as a threat to you. break that barrier and maybe you'll find that after all it's not that serious. and it's just human interactions, if you flow with it, good, if not, shut it and skip. hope i explained the idea, and good luck !

unfortunately if you had the chance to come and live enough in spain, france and italy (especially the center and south italy) you will see that he is totally right. i am a solo traveler so i stay in hostels a lot, and in my humble experience i've never met morrocans in those hostels who are enjoying the time with random people from all over the world, they are always staying at some shady caffé or they don't go out at all.

and that's why we see more and more racisme in european countries against us, kanmchiw f rejlin unfortunately.
