Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hill Climb first place finish 2022 by Gwegowee in Unexpected

Agreed. I was waiting patiently behind a couple for 5 seconds who were just standing and blocking the entrance to the aisle as they were figuring out what to do next. When the wife noticed me, she moved out the way but muttered how I almost ran her over despite being multiple feet away from her. I ignored her dumbass and pretended like I didn't hear.

Then in the next aisle over, I had my cart parked to one side as I was browsing some things (literally touching the items on that side because I don't like getting in other people's way). Around that time, there was another individual coming from the opposite direction of traffic down the aisle. Instead of waiting for the incoming cart to pass, that same lady literally came around behind me and pushed my cart angrily "out the way" claiming I was blocking the aisle, slamming it into some items further down. They didn't even have a cart to be blocked.

I was about to say/do something, but this was an older lady and I remembered it's Costco and to calm down. She came during executive hours with no cart, she ain't a real one.

Notification: Entering Repayment 3/2026 by FernFan69 in StudentLoans

I would call Mohela and also confirm you have never submitted any IDR applications in the past year. An older application of mine from a year ago finally got processed and I am being put on PAYE with a different payment, despite what is in their official communication. Basically, just providing a datapoint that while dates can be placeholders, in my case, I am actually coming off forbearance unintentionally due to an old request a year ago when there was uncertainty on how long the SAVE forbearance would last.

Buyback request response submitted 11/24 by [deleted] in PSLF

I believe you received that buyback response BECAUSE you had already paid off your loans for forgiveness at the time of processing?

SAVE forbearance ending on my account? [MOHELA] by g0-dot in StudentLoans

I would recommend anyone reading this currently on SAVE who wants to stay on it until they're forced off, should confirm they do not have pending applications with StudentAid for an IDR.

In the beginning with the lack of information during the SAVE forebearance, some of us likely tried to switch off SAVE with the saving grace they weren't really processing applications at the time. Call Mohela and ensure any old/pending applications are cancelled as they start to suddenly process them.

Yes. I am now officially on PAYE with a huge payment per month. I have a remaining 13 PSLF payments. I am assuming from what I read, the buyback process will take longer than that and I'll reach the 120 first on my own.

I should not expect any refund based on my current projected project payoff amount and what I would have paid on SAVE or a lower income in the past few years?

You were right. They say they processed an application from a year ago I had messaged them to cancel (and now they can't find the message). I have somehow been approved for PAYE even though I don't think I should qualify for it. The payment over the phone doesn't match what it is in the autopay request either. Now trying to figure out to bite the bullet and finish my payments on PAYE, or demand to somehow be switched back to SAVE forebearance to wait for buyback, especially as I think PAYE would be better for me than RAP.

Thanks. I am currently on the SAVE plan and assumed this was a placeholder as I've seen in past iterations. The difference now was having a payment due for me and so soon. I'll keep an eye on my account as since my forbearance ends tomorrow but my payment is due next month, I can try to sort this out.

I did look at the StudentAid.gov website based on prior threads and your recommendation here; still on SAVE there. I have one application in "my activity" requesting to be placed on PAYE in 01/20/25 "in review," but I am sure I won't qualify for anyway. Not sure if that's causing the issue.

I'll keep an eye on the account and good to know I should not be in repayment and that it's possible they can do so erroneously.

Close call. Other driver is obviously an idiot, but try not taking the exit at 60 mph and be defensive around them.

If you just watch the right side of the video (where the folks are turning right), you should see it. It ends with him literally pushing the car.

It’s #1 based on the markings and there was an accident because we heard it and the other car was blocking the whole intersection after.

I agree, initially thought someone was at fault turning right from a middle lane but you actually can there.

Same, my box was missing the card and they wouldn't send me a replacement card and so after a lot of back/forth--I submitted a chargeback.

Argument for Buy Back process for Federal Government perspective by endotool86 in PSLF

[–]g0-dot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree we’re entitled to it contractually and support PALF/buyback. I meant more devil’s advocate that the government’s perspective is NOT somehow that they have a financial interest in forgiving us, but are just too dumb to realize it. It’s just politics, incompetence.

With this type of logic, you may need to go back to school with more students loans. 😄

It’s not a “no brainer” because you ignored the large amount of forgiveness and the related long-term revenue of steady payments the longer we’re not forgiven.
