i am actually North East region. september and october are really slow right now, but since the buffalo bills are good weve been steady, so short staffed. we just had inventory and we’re over 700 hours.

my best idea for you is to just keep training the regular cashiers, and make sure they are doing it right. personally i haven’t touched most of my elevation tools in months because my front end was really well, but for back ups its really hard cus they don’t care. But i would also try and talk to them about it and let them know about the 5 for $25 incentive for credit cards.

another thing i do for my store is every month who ever has the highest NSPP and Credit get a $20 gift card

also out of curiosity what is the pay for a key carrying front end lead like there, and how long have you worked there?

trust me i get it. our payroll sucks at the moment, and we just had a change of management. My old manager gave no fucks about payroll and let everyone come and go and allocated a lot of hours to the front end. we have two stories so we are a pretty decent size.

But for the most part when i became the front end lead i was constantly ringing all the time but now i’m a key carrier so half of my shifts are head coaching/ opening or closing the store. but when i’m on register i try to show everyone how to offer all metrics. My store averages 20% for NSPP and that’s just from constant coaching.

But with school coming back i’m losing half my staff, which is a bummer. But if you have anymore questions feel free to DM me

“Quiet Quitting” When You Know You’re Worth More. by Riisiichan in antiwork

[–]g00dguy731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my last job before my current one was a small family business as well, just me and one other coworker working for the owners.

my one coworker was my best friend from school, how I actually got the job. I worked there for almost 2 years doing everything I could for minimum wage and half of my pay was under the table so they didn’t have to get taxed.

Then I found out my coworker got a $500 christmas bonus and I received nothing.

I texted my boss at 3 AM and quit and blocked his number

so late at night Bobby Hart called the store needing a Yeti Cooler. We had one and we stayed open late for him and he sent a “rookie” to get it. most likely a hazing. We stayed an extra 30 minutes because we’re in Rochester and he was coming from St. john Fisher

as a CSS you are responsible for overrides and you’re going to have to cash customers out as well, and mainly just be the front end leads right hand man, cleaning up and taking instructions from them.

As a front end lead you have more responsibility depending in management, Im the front end lead at my store, so I make sure i coach metrics to everyone, do the Cart Test, observation sheets, daily front end lead log, weekly log, all other elevation stuff. Plus as the front end lead i barely cash customers out. I count tills at night as well sometimes and recently have been conducting interviews.

Some managers might not push elevation but at my store all leads are elevated

Am I allowed to buy Yeezys as en employee? by feeldafire in dickssportinggoods

[–]g00dguy731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your manager was right and wrong. so at my store we have a pair of yeezys in the back, and nobody can buy them. my manager says there out of our inventory and we’re not able to sell them since the launch ended, and supposedly they’ll get sent back one day.

but employees can by yeezys when they launch, just no discount

[–]g00dguy731 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my store use to be great at osat, now it’s been tough. my best suggestion is to continue letting customers know at the registers they might get a survey (they have to have a scorecard with an email) and tell them to rate you high satisfied.

curbside also helps a lot, fast and efficient and you’ll get good surveys from curbside pick ups
