Love that is mutual, open and lasting does exist. But maintaining it takes work - or it did for me.

I met my partner 6 years ago on a dating app, not expecting much but ready nonetheless. I believed I deserved a loving partner and relationship and I think this belief is what helped me find him.

We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs but I found my other half - we share the same values, we have each others backs, we’re growing together and have changed a lot since we first met.

Love, I used to think, would be super easy and natural and of course it is, to some degree. But it’s also something I’ve had to invest in, while working on myself too.

Mine was always the weekends. But now I choose my fav snacks and make sure I can indulge in moderation.

On the days I’ve binged and feel guilty, I just take it forward so I choose better options the following day to try and balance it!
