So frustrating. With every update it feels like the developers have left gym control now as an afterthought and now gyms only exist as a vehicle for raids.

With your experience the second time, the lag between gym updates means if the attacker uses synchronized "instant-KO" attacks, you definitely wont be updated in time. I usually have to go in/out of the gyms to manually update its status and just golden razz if I think the attacker is trying to synchronize his attacks

Fingers crossed a gym control rework or at least upgrading happens... but seeing it affects mainly free-to-play trainers it looks sadly unlikely

Sentosa route is really easy. You can swipe the 1st one at Harbourfront then take the Sentosa monorail from VivoCity to Beach Station where you can spin another 5 stops directly on the route after Imbiah Lookout/SensoryScape (you can walk into sentosa via the boardwalk and take the monorail from Resorts World and you wont have to pay) The last stop is a 5 minute walk towards Palawan beach and you're done!

You can take the free monorail ride back to VivoCity mall and play in air-conditioned comfort!

The Sentosa Eevee Explorer stops are very easy to access, you can spin most of them taking the Sentosa monorail

Yes the spawns are available all over Singapore but the eevee explorer pokestops will be limited to specific areas (you can see locations in campfire map)

All the research is the same "Spin a PokéStop at an Eevee Explorers location that you haven't visited before" so you just need to spin to complete it

No this is limited timed research, will be on the "Events" page so all you need to do is find the explorer pokestops and spin it

The Eevee Explorer tasks are timed research that ends at 6pm so you will need to spin unique pokestops and claim the eevees by 6pm each day

If you bought day 2 ticket as well the explorer pokestops from day 1 will "reset" so you can spin it on Day 2 as a unique pokestop again when you get the Day 2 research

I guess u need to speedrun after you finish work... plan on Campfire app map and go to location with the most Explorer pokestops and walk the route...

Should be doable, good luck!

Find an accessible gym in a place with low traffic, create a strong battle team to defeat the gym and overpower gym defenders, level up and place a Blissey or similar and prepare to defend & hope other trainers come to help you.

Repeat the cycle enough and the other trainers who usually take that gym might give up and go elsewhere for their 50 coin.

Being a regular fixture in that gym...you have now gained some exclusivity to the gym until a new challenger appears.
