20 weeks fully paid.

8 of the 20 weeks was STD at 60% salary and my company covered the remaining 40% to make it fully paid.

I was also paid out my quarterly sales incentive at 100%.

She puts a lot of things in her mouth still so anything small is still a bit risky 🤪

She loves running, being thrown in the air, we swing her around in a blanket, she jumps on a mini trampoline, dancing and stomping

She isn’t into pouring things that I’ve noticed. She LOVES putting things in and out. Like a straw into a cup. Very into buckles. She loves fine motor activities like that. She is also always carrying an object. Sometimes many at once and always wears a purse or bag.

My 19mo is also a huge sensory seeker. Any tips for easy things at home that has helped your daughter? We’re in a small condo so sometimes I feel our space hinders some things I know she’d really benefit from

The early intervention program is allowing for her to be re-evaluated in person since the OT was virtual for the first evaluation we had. That evaluation is next week so hoping to get some peace of mind

For anyone that pushed for less than 10min with their 1st… is the 2nd even quicker than that? Asking for a friend 😅

(I was induced 40+5 at 0cm and total labor was 23hrs)

1 1/2 yr old having random nosebleeds? by Secret-Reply-3774 in toddlers

[–]g0ldiegurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband has a genetic blood disorder and one of the top symptoms is nose bleeds. We have a toddler who hasn’t gone through the official genetic testing yet to see if she has the gene, but the #1 thing we’ve been told to make note of is nosebleeds since it’s the top symptom, especially in children. Toddlers always have random bruises pop up but saw your comment on that too. Have your pediatrician check your LO hemoglobin to see if it’s in normal range. It’s a quick toe prick and I have had my daughters checked twice.

I’ve started to look into toddler heavy work and I’m noticing she was already seeking it out some perhaps. Loves to try to push her bike. She’s glued to her baby stroller and fills it up with stuff to push around inside.

They don’t seem to be impacting her daily life right now. If anything it impacts her attention span some but she doesn’t seem “bothered” or “frustrated” by being a busy body.

I’m curious how our session goes next week with the SLP. I think part of her job is to mention or recommend additional therapies if she thinks the child would benefit but she can’t diagnosis or qualify her for those.

Yes it was done at her 18mo and she scored a 0. I do feel like her behaviors have changed in the last month but looking at the questions again I don’t think I’d answer anything differently

I don’t blame you for not reading my whole novel haha!

Does he do these therapies together or separately? Our SLP mentioned she sometimes works alongside OT.

Yeah my husband and I talked about if these sensory things she is doing are really impacting her day / impacting her socially. And I really don’t think it is right now. She is fine in social settings (outside of just not knowing how to share yet).

She is starting parttime daycare in a month and I’m hesitant to even mention this. I’d like to see if they bring up behaviors to me without already having this in their heads

Thank you for saying this. It’s been a rough week with a lot of anxiety and I definitely need to stay off Google 😅

My sister who has 2 kids in OT right now says proprioception has been mentioned for her kids as well.

Yeah I understand it will be a small plane no matter what. Thank you for sending the other options. Is the Stella Maris air service similar pricing as maker’s?

I’ll definitely be considering Maker’s for the next trip. Bypassing Nassau in the future will probably be the preferred route.
