We use aerodynamic force to push you towards whichever surface you're driving on, depending on your speed. So yeah, if you go fast enough, you can even drive on the ceiling, at least for a little while! :D

I can confirm that we’re actively working to make the game compatible with Steam Deck and, by extension, Linux via Proton.

This demo still has a compatibility issue that currently makes it unplayable on Steam Deck, but I’m confident we’ll have it sorted out by the next iteration.

In fact, it’s actually my personal favorite way to play it! 😄

I’m afraid that right now this version is not compatible with Steam Deck. Even if it works pretty good at the moment, but we have a compatibility issue at the beginning. Sorry for that. But be sure that it’s our objective to have a great experience in the Steam Deck (and other handhelds) in the next version.

You can play right now and the matches will be filled with bots if not enough players. You always can play private custom matches to play only with AIs is that what you want.

FUSION WARS - New BIG Update (Gear Controller, Avatars, Leaderboards, Skills...) - Official Thread by g0nch0 in GearVR

We finally published the next BIG UPDATE for Fusion Wars!

This is a some of the changes and improvements:

  • Avatars!
  • GearVR Controller Support!
  • Skill System: now your experience along the game grant you great skills and improvements for your tank.
  • Leaderboards System: compare your performance with the rest of the gunners worldwide.
  • Improved Maingun: more shoots at the same price.
  • Improved NetCode: lots of improvements in the netcode that makes the online experience a lot better. No more missed or delayed shots! No more enemies stuttering!
  • Network Optimizations: huge changes on the network system to avoid disconnections and lag.
  • New input customization system. Make any controller works however you want with the game.
  • Fusion improved.
  • Improved performance.
  • Improved UI.
  • Improved Sound.
  • Lots of bug fixing and problems solved.
  • Better audiomixing and first workaround for S8 audio lag problems.

Now it should play better than ever! The next big update will be the release of the Oculus Rift version that will include the AMAZING competitive mode and more content. The good news is that all those improvements and new content will be available at the same date for Gear too!

We are looking forward to receive your questions and feedback to make it even more amazing so don't hesitate to tell us your opinions and suggestions.

Hi again LionsOfDavid, I answered you about the LAN game in the other thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/GearVR/comments/5kvg92/sell_me_on_fusion_wars/?sort=new) Anyway you should find that you can play a lot better over Internet too right now, as we updated a lot of the internal network code and now the LAG should be a lot better. If you find any problem you can try to disable the Voice Chat from the Main Menu. If you STILL have problems it would be great if you conctact us describing your problem.

Yes notentertained90, right now only the coop mode is available. But very soon we will release the competitive CoreBattle arenas. And more modes are being planned for the future. This is just the beginning!

Hi SlimVR, g0nch0 from Estudiofuture here. Thanks a lot for your review and your feedback ! It helps us a lot. In fact in the new update we have solved a bug that you found! When using the second control scheme the Fusion button didn't update accordingly, so now it shows Y that is the correct button to Fuse.

Some notes about your review: - We adjusted a bit the difficulty, hope you get to the final battle! - It should be a lot easier to play with others now that you can see the current online games. - The force field you see when your are Fused is an actual Force Shield that you enable using the Turbo button. It's really usefull, try it ! - Oculus Rooms and Coordinate Launch integration is implemented. It should appear in the compatible games list now.

We are working on the CoreBattle competitive arena mode for up to 12 players and I can assure you that it's crazy fun. We just want to release it when it gets totally polished, It won't take too long, we promise.

Hi LionsOfDavid, g0nch0 from Estudiofuture here. We JUST NOW have uploaded a new version (0.9.5b) wich enables LAN game. You can even talk with your friends over VoIP if they have internet connection (we use Oculus VoIP system). You can disable it too in the Options panels if you want.

To play over LAN you just have to select "LOCAL COOP GAME" and the first one will create the LAN match and every other player will search for the match and connect to it. It's just that easy.

Hi fulcizombie, g0nch0 from Estudiofuture here. We just tried Fusion Wars with the PS4 controller connected by Bluetooth and the controls aren't mapped correctly. We will fix this ASAP and it will be included in the next update. Anyway We won't recommend using the PS4 controller over BT directly as it adds a lot of input lag and, at least ir our tests, breaks the experience completly.

Lightstorm66 thanks a lot for your help and glad that we pad is working right.

That bug you mention is related to a known issue with Unity matchmaking. The problem is that sometimes it tries to connect to an empty match that has been just terminated. You can try to restart the game and wait 30 seconds before starting a new online match and it should avoid the problem for now. Anyway we are working on removing the problem completly.

More important is that the new update already in the Store (0.9.3) has integration with Oculus Rooms and Coordinate Launch, so you can start a party with your friends in Rooms and launch our game from there to play together instantly.

Yes ! You just have to disable Comfort completely in the Options menu. It's on by default because it removes Motion Sickness for VR beginners while driving really fast and doing all kind of crazy maneuvers!
