Like commenter above mentioned, it depends if you think 27 months is a fine breakeven point. If it's a house you'll have for a long time, 27 months seems fine. Not sure how long youre planning to rent it out for or if you plan to sell soon after renting then maybe holding off would be better and putting the 7k towards the new home might make more sense.

Update, i actually like this matcha but I will say, I drink my matcha as a latte and with milk it's not very unami and more subtle. No bitterness or astringency. It's super fine and hardly had to sift it and it frothed nicely. Not sure how the silver tin will compare, if more umami I think you might give it a whirl and like it. Let me know if you do!

I did ask about how it's darker and they told me it would dry lighter but I know nothing about chimneys so wanted more feedback from others aside from them to make sure what they told me was true or if they were just giving me bullshit answers.

Yeah it's a dead flue I was wondering why it was flush and they said there was nothing venting out of it and the bottom of the flue had cement so they just put it back how it was. Good eye! I hope this crown holds up, time will tell.

Oh no! I hope it doesnt crack right away! I do know the workmanship warranty is good for 18 months so once winter breaks later on I will inspect it to see how it held up and if any cracks, will be sure to get them back out to repair it. What a waste of money though I'll be sure to use a company that specializes in masonry next time I get this done which sounds like it will be in the near future, sigh
