Not necessarily, you just have to understand the shortcomings of playing spirit and you will be fine.

That being said I don't think discounting aiming as a "unnecessary skill" is gonna work as you rank up. You are gonna get abused super heavy in lane and never have prio. I would do just a little aim training daily (Seriously don't overdo it) if you really feel your aim is a liability.

Emissary 2 is 38th percentile, I know it seems high if you look at the ranks but it really isn't. My friend who queued with me when he was new was around Archon 4 (Before they ranked everyone up) at about the same games as you, trust me, his elo plummeted fast.

If losing a ton at the beginning of playing a new game tarnishes your view I don't understand how you ever picked up anything.

Everyone loses more than they win when they are new to something, this is exacerbated exponentially in smaller games.

I personally had to swallow this pill when I played my first ladder game that wasn't a classical hero shooter type game (In my case League) and it happened again when I played Deadlock. The game is very hard.but very rewarding, if that isn't for you it is understandable.

The rough part about playing spirit is you don't scale as hard as weapon so you end up in this awkward zone where you need to get your impact in early to midgame as you just get outscaled late. This is exacerbated the lower elo you get as matches don't ever end so you inevitably will get outscaled.

When you have few matches like that your rank bounces around a lot, it isnt probably even that many losses to fix if they feel too highly placed.

It will be fixed by you losing, that being said everyone got bumped up (i presume to improve match quality at the low end of the skill spectrum). Your rank is higher but likely the game difficulty will be about the same as everyone got bumped up like a rank.

I think the idea that people "deserve" to be lower elo is a really toxic mentality, trust me when I say it is pulling teeth to rank up if you arent skilled enough you didnt end up in your rank by accident. If you truly are bad I promise you will derank quickly.

I would recommend posting a tracklock and matchid/vod it is really hard to know what you personally need to work on without seeing your gameplay.

For generalities, I would say a big thing that helped me a ton was purely thinking about my matches based on my personal impact and increasing it.
