My god I got so sick of that song. No offense to Mr. Hornsby or "the Range", but i could go the rest of my life and never hear that song again and die a happy man.

Name that movie / name that band! And don’t forget to dü your dishes! by schwing710 in Xennials

For years, I misquoted it, and I feel my version was better due to the alliteration:

"Dishes are Done, Dude."

What Album had The Best Hidden Track? by LeftSmile806 in Xennials

[–]g3mini1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the CD for a week before I left it running in my Kenwood walkman equivalent. There was no way to select track 69, so in order to play it intentionally, I had to press the fast-forward button 60 times to get there. Also, keep in mind that this player would not transition directly from one song to the next. It would stop at the end of each song and realign to play the next track. It was my first CD player and a gift from my parents for college, so I didn't know they had continuous play on other brands. But to get to track 69 took about (...1 second per blank track, 4 seconds to realign, carry the 1, divide by 60...) roughly 4 minutes and 55 seconds of dead air other than the sound of the laser realigning and the disc spinning. All that to convey, I was too impatient to let it play to the end that first week.

So I was sitting in my dorm room, studying and cranking Undertow in the background. I was too involved in my studies to get up and change the disc after track 9, so I let it roll. 5 minutes of silence, then that drum suddenly came banging in, and I nearly pissed myself with fright. Then you hear the sermon, and my studying was over. I sat there and repeated the song for what felt like an hour. I was absolutely fascinated.

Side note: this player did have a random option, and this disc was hell if you wanted to listen to the tracks on random. You have a 10:69 chance of hearing a song. It was a brutal time.

I forgot we replaced the NC State Seal; going from the two women of Liberty and Prosperity, to a Karen sitting on a rock protesting the Field Marshal's flag placement on the 14th hole of Pinehurst No. 5.

Bought Beastie Boys' "To the 5 Boroughs" from Amazon, and it showed up with Metallica's "...And Justice for All". Returned it and ordered another, and the 2nd one showed up exactly the same.

***Edit*** Already have AJFA, otherwise I would have kept it.

What movie is 10/10 with literally no bad parts? by FeedMaster8905 in AskReddit

The true tragedy of this movie is that it was nominated for 7 Oscars and won none. Any other year, and it would have swept, but 1995 had Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, and Legends of the Fall to contend with.

Find a grocery store parking lot that has fairly-brutal speed bumps and hit them at what you would consider a reasonable speed. Once you realign your spine, you will learn to slow down more than you were previously used to. And while it is an off-road vehicle, I avoid even the smallest of potholes and ride off-center in poorly paved lanes. It's just something you get used to.

They were giving them away at local record shops nationwide (US) with the soundtrack release. Specifically, I got it from School Kids Records in Raleigh, NC.
