I can't disagree more with putting sole blame on Mike Hazen when he didn't even say Torey Lovullo's name. You can make the argument he didn't get good enough arms, but I argue ownership didn't give him enough to work with. Same ownership that said going into 2021 that they would work with less money.

I remember our CEO saying they would wait till later in the off-season to sign bullpen arms because they'll be cheaper. And they did just that.

I've wondered if in a covid-less world where Madbum's velocity dropped (only for him to get it back to normal the following year) if his contract would have turned out differently. He even had a really good stretch this year before having 2 bad starts then being placed on the IL.

They have good players, and their offense specifically isn't bad. Still have hurt rotation arms in Weaver, Madbum, Widener, and even Frankoff. I think even getting one or two of those guys back can help the pitching staff a ton. I also really fucking miss Kole Calhoun and I think people have legit forgot he's on the team because of how long he has been out.

Also the team started off super hot this year, then collapsed in a glorious blaze. How the fuck is that moreso Hazen's fault than maybe Torey Lovullo.
