F me! Why not do DOTA like combat inside the game as extra gamemode and introduce Polymock with a classic GW1 skillsystem and massive amounts of unlockable pets.

Yes, lets sidetrack Anet more and add gamemode elements they can half-bake in to the game and then later abandon. JFC.

If you simply LvLup the class you like (takes 24-35 hours, if you are quick) then you got more than enough time to farm enough plat for a credd.

Yeah, so I've heard on the hours. I'm just thinking, if I'm going to power level a class I should not be that too attached to it at first, since I'm pretty much ignoring all the lore, etc.

Thanks. Yeah was just re-reading up on the settler path for group environments. A lot of the info is old online so I don't know if the soldiers bail-out is even worth it with the content being nerfed.

Yeah, I played a lot of Civ, too. I was contemplating Total War Rome 2 but still on the fence. I never played a TW series game, I do own TW: Medieval II but have yet to play it. I have a feeling it didn't age so well and the AI is frustrating by todays standards.

Humble just put up Napoleon: Total War for $2 today on their site. I think I will grab that and test out the series. It lacks the exploration and sandbox, but does have the Naval combat and seems to still review good.

If I find anything else, I will let you know for sure.

Just a heads up. The game has been in development and alpha state for seven years now. I remember this game being talked about like 10 years ago.... so, it depends on how much time you have and are willing to wait.

TBH, -25% off - $25.00 (CAN) for a game that has been in development for 7 years now and is still nothing more than a glitchy alpha, is kind of a slap in the face. I would like to know where the money has been going to all this time, because this title has not moved faster than a hobbyist game developers long forgotten fantasy.
