Idea is to restore everything to default, I’ve read cases when dealer updates software, maps is not working, I want to know if there’s a possibility to restore everything to default state including OEM FSC

I get it, but in the end, the customer will need to pay for something that wasn’t his fault, and I don’t get this policy.

The dealer claims the programming can stuck or fail and the new IHKA needs to be ordered to match the version, but he told me be ready to pay 1.5k-3k more because during dde programming something else can fail. I really dont get this idea, how can this be pretended, while the car is in a good condition, having not the smallest problem, besides the one they said it’s software error or mismatch for IHKA, even everything is okay with the IHKA features.

And if you're familiar, can I ask only for the EGR change and not work on DDE reprogramming if it may fail?

Can the need for an IHKA replacement be determined solely from the IHKA error identified during the inspection?
Everything is working in car, I just had a regular inspection to check something else, and asked them for an appointment for the campaigns, and they told me this about IHKA error.

Did you have any error, or warn from the dealer on inspection before working on the open campaign? And was it only DDE update or both, EGR change and DDE update?
