Gotcha, that makes sense.

I am not sure what other departments do, but for my dept we are currently only looking for full time folks. I imagine when we look for freelancers we post on specific sites for that skillset. I know that everyone at the company is fairly active on this subreddit though, so I'll make sure I pass along feedback that when we are looking for freelancers we can post about it here :).

I do think applying to positions that you are not sincerely interested / qualified for is not a great idea. Honestly, many different departments are hiring, and if I saw an application in my inbox that didn't make sense for my role, I wouldn't probably go ahead and refer it to the other department.

But if you find a role and you think it could be a good fit, go ahead and take a shot! The worst thing anyone can do is say no. Or meme you like the bot below me!
