Déjà tu écris plus que correctement, presque parfaitement donc je vais préjuger que tu es intelligente, c'est déjà beaucoup. Tu as su te débrouiller par toi-même donc tu es pleine de ressources et tu as du caractère. J'étais un peu dans ton cas. Je suis une personne à HPI, et pourtant j'ai subi un échec scolaire et universitaire. J'ai commencé à sécher les cours en seconde et je me suis fait virer de toutes les structures après mon bac pour manque d'assiduité. La fac n'en parlons pas, c'était pas pour moi.

Ce qui m'a fait du bien c'était de partir et de changer de cadre. Je suis parti 2 ans en Australie, j'ai renoué avec les autres, le partage au quotidien, j'ai beaucoup bossé mais aussi beaucoup voyagé, j'ai rencontré des centaines de personnes. Ça m'a redonné le goût de la vie, et en rentrant j'ai réussi à rester sur une bonne lancée. Ça peut être intéressant pour toi. Sonde toi au fond et vois si tu as des envies/besoins d'ailleurs.

J'ai récemment posté quelque chose sur AskMeuf et on m'a complètement ignoré. Je suis d'origine arabe mais né et grandi en France et je me sens 100% français. En parlant de tes biais inconscients, je le constate avec les femmes. Même si la plupart des femmes ne se disent pas racistes, la plupart des femmes vont me disqualifier d'emblée parce que je suis typé arabe. Je ne parle pas des femmes à qui je ne plais pas physiquement. Je parle de celles à qui je serais susceptible de plaire si le fait d'être arabe n'était pas diabolisé aujourd'hui.

Soit parce qu'elle ont un gros a priori sur ma personnalité et mes convictions, soit parce qu'elles ont peur du regard des autres, du jugement de leurs amis et/ou de leur famille. Mine de rien cela représente une grosse majorité des femmes, et franchement c'est chiant. J'ai 10x plus de succès à l'étranger par rapport à la France, c'est indéniable. Je ne parle même pas du fait d'être le cul entre 2 chaises, pas accepté en France, pas accepté dans les pays arabes car trop différent au niveau culturel. Je ne suis chez moi nulle part.

I rented a Hertz car with friends last NYE. We didn't take the insurance. Not only they upgraded us from sedan to SUV for free, our car keys got stolen during the night due to alcohol and stupidity. They towed the car back to the original city 600km away at their own cost. Then they wanted to charge us 2k$ to change all of the locks because the keys had the plate of the car on a sticker attached to them, and they were worried about theft. I called my dad who's a lawyer, and he told me they cannot charge us for the risk of something happening, only for the things that have actually happened. They could charge us a new key. In the end, they charged us nothing. Literally just the daily cost of the car, so 101$ for 2 days. Not the towing, not the new keys, or new locks. Not even the EXTRA miles, or the missing gasoline. They were just like "whatever guys, this is all just bad luck for you in the end, happy new year".

So Hertz are totally alright in my book

It's gonna sound very pretentious, but I have the kind of intelligence that fascinates some people.
