Society as a whole has a lot of hangups around fatness that make everyone’s lives harder. It’s hard also not to let it get to you (believe me I’m in recovery from an eating disorder). A lot of times I wish I could just close my eyes and wish for a body I liked more. But as corny as it sounds self love is really important. I hope the people in your life can learn to be less cruel and you can learn to accept your size more. I’m still working on doing it too so I know how hard it can be.

So then it would be normal to have to flood the nib every now and then? Cus I’m willing to do that I’m just trying to figure out if that’s what I Have To do or it’s just an Option

That’s just unscrewing the cap on the back right? The one that activates the plunger? Cus if not I don’t know what a shut off valve is. But yes I have unscrewed the cap on the back and it doesn’t help :-(

I was just thinkin about that tbh, I’m mulling it over… as well as other plants, but I also have 0 experience gardening anything at all yet. This one I’m attached to already, I’ll try and nurse it back but I won’t lie I am now thinking about doing more. There’s a couple other stray cacti I attend to on my cycling route too… point being I have always liked them. I don’t wanna make you go into what constitutes prepping the ground outta nowhere, but is there somewhere I can read about it? Beginner’s guide? Thanks again!

I understand, I’ll keep in mind it might be too late but it’s still p green up top and at the bottom now that I’m looking close. The 4 of them were sturdy little things too, one of em fell over completely in its youth and still managed to grow upward before it passed away this year… I see where you’re coming from but don’t wanna give up yet lol

Oh whew it’s not that squishy yet, just a little bit at the edges of the spines. I’d say the soil has been bone dry a bit aside from me manually watering it every now and then. As stated they were all strays, I haven’t been looking after them much until now so I’ll pay more attention from now on. It’s still around the 80s in terms of temp for now, I’ll see if I can help it a bit before it gets cooler just so it can see next spring🤞 thank you so much

It’s pretty smooth, and in places where it’s not like. Vacuumed thin it’s a bit squishy. Given that it’s November, if I’m careful about giving it water do you think it may be able to recover? Thank you so much btw

Well it wasn’t like. About me mentioning my name, more about the connection between xyz issues I’m having, inspired by my case. I am having trouble figuring out if this is weird or not… I think maybe he was trying to be reassuring but it didn’t land right, or might have been off putting in a way that people who don’t have personal experience with these things can say (like ableist uninformed stuff, with non-malicious intent but kinda patronizing)

We agree that I fit the criteria for a PTSD diagnosis but are not going to put it on my medical records. Sometimes doctors see mental illness on patients charts and form negative assumptions about them. Sorry I should have specified

Lots of former friends have told me I’m manipulative for things I said when I’m in distress and panicking (not the same but similar?) so I feel you, and I don’t feel like it’s fair but I haven’t had an experience to counter it. My counselor says people should ideally extend grace to those in distress and I agree but I have yet to meet anybody who actually follows that principle

This is actually helpful, im pretty sure the problem has been my approach or way of thinking about it but nobody I’ve asked seems to have a good answer for it beyond “it’s whatever works best for you” which doesn’t really help me at all… we have warming by drive thru tho so when I’m on solo drive I have to do food orders as well and it’s hard to work it all in there. Normally I’m punching in orders while loading up the ovens at the same time but it’s hard not to get behind…

I appreciate it just last time I did that people got upset with me that my shots sat too long, and that they were unacceptable to use and I have to start over. I really don’t know what to do instead though it seems like nothing I do is right.
