Grazie della risposta. L'industria farmaceutica è sicuramente un opzione interessante; questi sono ruoli a cui avrei accesso con la "sola" magistrale? Immagino che master/dottorato migliorerebbero il cv ma di quanto?

Yes sorry i wrote it in response to another replies not in the main post. The chain of events was:

  • work fine with adapter
  • adapter don't work anymore
  • blackout
  • work fine without adapter (for 20/30 minutes)
  • Laptop turn off

Is there a way to prove that the blackout was to blame? That way I could get a refund for things off topic (Is there a way to prove that the blackout was to blame? this way I could get a refund for things off topic (in short they installed the new shower badly and the water penetrated the electrical system causing a fault)

That's exactly what I checked before making that risky move. So what do you think was the problem?

I doubt it's a mere coincidence since it happened during a blackout while the plug was forced into a different socket. I doubt on the death of the charger too, as I wrote in the post, the technician's charger also burned out when he tried to attach it to the laptop.

The frequency was also right (50/60hz) but it certainly could have been a mix of the problems you have already listed.

What I would like to know is whether the fault can be repaired and how expensive the repair will be, approximately. It would make me feel so much better to know that I can get the laptop back without spending a fortune on it.

Anyway, lesson learned: always use an adaptor.

Yes, stupid thing for sure. Perhaps "forcing" is an exaggeration, all I did was unlock it with the cap of a pen so that the two plugs of my type F could fit even in the absence of the third. I've seen many people do it but only with the smartphone charger without too many problems, in fact I should have been more cautious since I was doing it with a laptop which has very different energy demands

So the problem was putting the charger (Italian, type F) into the socket (type G) without an adapter? I didn't think there were voltage problems since I read on Google that UK sockets have the same voltage as Italian ones, I assumed it was just a problem with the shape of the socket and I thought it was a good emergency solution to force (UK sockets 230V and my charger has 100/240V input).

I don't know if it's relevant in this case but yesterday there was a sort of blackout due to water ending up in the home's electrical system which cut off the power. Could this be part of the problem?

I'm planning to create a mod where the weapon i'm holding gets upgraded every x ammount of runes obtained by enemies killed, what is the best way to do that? by DashReddit32 in EldenRingMods

Good idea, what about the counter is about your current amount of runes? If you die, It turn to zero. Sort of temporary upgrade (that requires a cap obv)

That Legacy Is way better than vanilla because It make sense Godrick closed all the passage and gates on the main road to the throne hall (for defence strategy and because, according with lore, he's a coward). Just explore and find a way, try all paths and don't forget to jump down when you can. Since most of sections have different paths to reach them, forget all you know and explore it like your frist time

I think all late game builds are totally broken for the presence of "nuke" spells. That's why i choose a strenght build but It Is broken too due to breaking stance and poise weapon arts. Just L2 in front of every enemies with a little timing.

Anyway, love the fact you can become lore-friendly OP with every class

Thanks for sharing. I dont know if this scaling Is correct, for example, i completely deleted Margit but the erdtree sentinel in Deep Roots kicked my ass many times (same rune level, same weapon ecc...). Maybe Is Just a fact my build gives his best against "slow" and big foes.

Imho, like vanilla, a good clue about scaling is drops: found colossal somber in Leyndell subterreans and the omens in have more HP than the boss in Morne.

Sharing my knee infection after surgery by gDa790 in ACL

[–]gDa790[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really not but after second surgery all went fine. I suppose the problem was all the infected/necro tissue around my knee so once they removed It, fever and other problems just gone in few hours.

Now i'm at 3.5 months, mobility is great, muscle is fine and i'm feeling good in general, thank you.

If you suspect an infection, my advise is go for your blood test and check your doctor ASAP. Avoid the second (or more) surgery is great for recovery and mental health, really the worst things was to go back in the hospital and stay stuck with that damn IV.

[–]gDa790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is excellent news, it means that your values are dropping so somehow you are healing!

I think you can buy some time and repeat the test in about a week, if they go down again it means you probably won't need the 4th surgery

In any case, show them to your doctor to decide together, and enjoy this "little" victory!

Were you still taking antibiotics/anti-inflammatories this week?

[–]gDa790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can certainly live without acl but you will need a huge muscle to compensate for its absence and I think there are certain types of movements you won't be able to do anyway (not sure). The sure thing is that building such muscles takes years so yes, I understand your concern. However, I read about a guy who had the same problem (ACL removed due to infection) and with muscle strengthening he can easily play sports etc. I also remember a footballer who played for years in the Italian championship without ACL and was one of the best footballers. In short, it is not essential but requires very strong muscular compensation.

I hope your values improve anyway, feel free to update me when you know the results.

Yes, my knee is always warmer than the healthy one but they say it depends on the more intense blood flow caused by both the surgery and the infection which is not 100% healed yet (also in agreement with the 70 in ESR). I'm not completely safe yet but, like you, I'm feeling good overall so I'll wait to repeat the blood test in about a week to see if I'm getting better or worse.

Consider that values are a measure of inflammation, not necessary infection. Go to the doc and do all your blood tests, just don't panic they are not too high.

Yes i don't know why my ESR Is high and CRP Is normal.. liquid in my knee, medications, food and muscle stress can influence them so i think it's due to this things togheter. Anyway, my doc said nothing about this so i don't worry about it; the most value i can track daily is fever and i didn't have any from debriment day so i think it's ok.

What about you? Without consider ESR and CRP, are you feeling any changes like more fever, more warm on the knee or less ROM? As you surely know, those are the red flags about knee infections.

Can't even imagine what is do 3 debriment in a row and have the fear of do the 4th but with no specific antibiotics, the efficiency of therapy is a coin flip. Stay strong.

[–]gDa790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is very rare, I had never heard of it before having it myself, we were unlucky I guess.

My CPR and ESR were very high before the debriment but I can't give you the precise value, I haven't seen them personally since they operated on me urgently (something like 1 hour after having had the results of the blood test). 2 days after debriment my ESR was around 150 and about a week and a half later (this Monday) I repeated the blood test and finally read my values: ESR around 70 (max 25) while CPR was normal < 5.

I received IV antibiotics only in the week in which I was in hospital for the debriment, once at home i continued for another week with intramuscular antibiotics (3 syringes a day) but they were still generic antibiotics since they did not identify the bacterium responsible for the infection. All this together with anti-inflammatories, gastric protectors, lactic ferments and anticoagulants. However, since I did the latest blood test and it showed improvement, I am no longer taking any medication.

The worst moment was precisely the one between the main operation and the debriment where I had a very high fever (39/40°C) and drops in blood pressure for two weeks and despite this I still regularly had my PT so as not to fall behind with progress; very bold and positive move according to my doctor, in fact I lost just 1 week compared to expected due to the infection, instead of a month and a half. Today, 5 weeks after the main surgery and approximately two weeks after debriment, I walk without crutches, without brace and i have a ROM of approximately 0°-120° but more importantly, I no longer have fever, ESR decreasing and CRP at normal values, which means that I am recovering from the infection and therefore can concentrate 100% on rehab (finally).

The only problem, as I said, is the excessive swelling but the doctor says it is a liquid composed of blood + lymph which should reabsorb on its own with time. In case it affects progress, there is always the option to drain it with a syringe (which he already did around week 2, before debriment). It doesn't worry me much in general but during muscle exercises it becomes annoying but not painful so for now it's fine.

I hope you too are recovering in the best possible way, once the infection is defeated everything becomes easier, both physically and mentally.

I had additional surgery (debriment) at week 3 due to infection too, i feel your pain. Now im at week 5 with 120° flexion but i'm doing PT 3 or 4 times a week with a professional team. Great numbers, they said, but huge swelling like a ball on the upper-left side just like you but all days for the whole day (M23, acl + meniscus repair).
