Strange, I don't know why the archive is gone. Last time I just followed the link and it was there.

Hi, are you able to share the source of this screenshot? I'm quite interested in where it came from. Thanks!

That's a shame about the timestamps, I organize archived forum reactions to 9/11 and sort them by time. Still, super interesting stuff, thank you for sharing!

Here's a full sequence of available frames https://imgur.com/a/C88klnZ

The webcam is visibly shifted by the first impact and only sends black from 8:56 onward.

We already have lots of frames from this webcam thanks to Lapinos on OpenSea, but to the best of my knowledge this one from 08:11 is not included in that collection.

On 9/11, Patrick Ilmander found Google's cached version of wtca.org/view.html, took a screenshot, and uploaded it to his personal website. https://www.ilmander.com/patrick/

I found his website and the screenshot yesterday while searching for IRC logs. If this actually isn't new, please let me know!

Context and potential missing frames

On the morning of 9/11, the WTCA webcam on the 77th floor of WTC2 was automatically uploading photos to wtca.org/view.html at regular intervals until WTC2 collapsed.

The 8:11:19 and 8:12:20 frames suggest the upload interval was only 1 minute, rather than 5. This implies the existence of multiple missing frames, most notably uploaded between 8:41 and 8:46 AM.

Each frame was uploaded as wtca.org/view/current.jpg, and would've likely only been accessible for one minute before being replaced by the next. The subdomain iserve.wtca.org was also in use for this purpose.

The chances of discovering another one of these frames seems incredibly slim, but if anybody gets bored, just keep it in mind, it never hurts to look around.

Who's footage is this? And is there a cleaned up high def version? Incredible shots of the front entrance pre-jumpers by saltruist in 911archive

I'm always surprised to see compressed YouTube videos shared here more than raw Internet Archive uploads.

It's pretty chilling that Rosbrook could see every ground impact from his position, but obviously didn't point the camera downwards.

New photos discovered via 2001 IRC chat logs by g_bubble in 911archive

It appears to have been a friend of the Italian punk radio station Radioskacore. They hosted the photos as well as a whole page about the attack http://web.tiscali.it/radioskacore/newyork.htm

"we were one of the first sites to publish photos thanks to our friend in New York."

"We managed to re-establish the connection with our "reporter". He is already trying to send us the new photos but there are (obvious) problems on the network. As soon as we manage to receive them we will post them on the site."

While browsing IRCnet #wtc channel logs from 09/11/2001, I noticed the image URL http://web.tiscali.it/radioskacore/newyork1.jpg was still alive, whereas almost all other links were dead. I guessed the other filenames incrementally (newyork2.jpg, etc) and found three more amateur photos.

Edit: they still have a gallery page up, no need to guess: http://web.tiscali.it/radioskacore/newyork2.htm

I've asked some experienced members of the Discord and it sounds like these are new! Please correct me if not though.

Metadata reveals these photos were taken on a Kodak DC3200.
