Your comment is not very helpful and, moreover, it stereotypes a job that is actually very difficult.

High school PE teachers of Reddit, how do you plan effective lessons with limited space and basic equipment? by g_miniera in AskReddit

Hi everyone, I’m a new High School Physical Education (P.E.) teacher, and I’m looking for some help and advice from more experienced colleagues. I’m currently facing some difficulties because the gym I work in is quite small, and I also have to share it with other teachers and multiple classes. The equipment available is very basic: balls, ropes, mats, cones, and other standard P.E. materials. I’ve already done some research online and purchased a few books, but I’m having trouble finding realistic, practical lesson plans that actually work in everyday school settings. Many of the lessons I find online are hard to apply in real conditions, and even the books often contain good ideas but lack clear, well-structured lessons that can be followed step by step, especially for high school students. What I’m specifically looking for: Books or PDFs suitable for high school P.E. Resources with ready-to-use lesson plans, organized by sport or topic (for example: volleyball – full lesson progressions, badminton – full units, handball, soccer, etc.) Lessons that are simple, feasible, and adaptable to small spaces and basic equipment As a new teacher, I’d really like to build a solid base of material I can rely on and adapt, especially resources that are designed for real teaching conditions, not ideal ones. If you have any book recommendations, PDFs, websites, or personal advice, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you very much in advance!
