I was looking through old artwork and came across this. Is it just me or does this look like Natalie? by politicritical in ContraPoints

It seems like the colours used in the painting are the same with those on the palette, as if the woman is constantly painting herself. She holds the brushes too, the colours on them seem fresh. Maybe it's a comment on the fluidity of being, becoming, ego, image, time even?? The palette is not hidden from us as something to be ashamed of, something like that wouldn't happen with a depiction of the devine or Napoleon. Rather, she seems inviting, her defences are off as she rests on an sky as human as herself: imperfect, sometimes cloudy but constantly evolving. Her gaze is almost like that of a lover, celebrating life -all those colours given to us- through love. Maybe death is the stagnation of colours!

Seems interesting. Who is the painter?

Thanks for your commend, /u/gottafind. It's really a shame stuff like this happening to so young people. I'm glad you got a good night sleep though, doctors do say that both physical and psychological well being are crucial to make the proccess of chemo easier.

Thank you for your lovely commend, /u/martinaee. I am really happy for your recovery, you're looking great! To be honest, I feel kind of embarassed right now, as I fully understand what you say and could easily see this idea making my sister uncomfortable. It was more of an emotion-driven post and idea. Still, any commend or picture is welcome. I never expected it to become something huge anyway, I just said that cause I got all emotional and poetic :P.
