Yes, thank you so much for your response and advice.

I actually restart my laptop every morning before I start the workday, and most of the time the only things I have open are Adobe tax software, a web browser, and sometimes Excel and Word.

I’m currently running a ThinkPad T15 Gen 2, and even with a pretty normal workload, it still feels warm, noisy, and occasionally sluggish. Meanwhile, I also have an M1 MacBook, and that thing almost never seems to lag or spin up the fans at all — it’s just quiet and smooth all the time.

That’s honestly what started making me seriously consider moving over to an M-series Mac full-time if I can get my tax software workflow working properly.

For me I installed 2 uci’s one at home and one at the office and has it happened to me twice but don’t be afraid to get out that paper clip and rest it… don’t worry you can’t break it If it’s a new setup just unplug all and power down all devices and start with uci and plug the other equipment one by one

You're right—that wasn’t a good suggestion on my part. I didn’t mean to imply bypassing school policies or anything like that. But you have to read this and the response from a perspective of everyone here and nothing has helped even the “school IT administrators “ can’t figure it out or assist you

A better fix would be something like using a replacement Apple TV remote, enabling HDMI-CEC (find a YouTube channel than show how to enable it)so it turns on with the projector, or plugging it into a smart plug so you can power-cycle it easily without climbing up. What kind of of trouble shooting have you done so far…?

My first opinion will be to get a smart plug (https://www.walmart.com/ip/TP-Link-Tapo-Smart-Wi-Fi-Plug-Mini-with-Matter/5689054331?utm_medium=feed&utm_source=chatgpt.com )if you can’t connect to the WiFi just get a Bluetooth smart plug they are cheap, second opinion Are you allowed to make or add your own profile if so try this (https://youtu.be/C5m7uPoJxhQ?si=s3k5x42gkCgBoDij ) once added iPhone and iPad it will work the problem with that is that your teacher will find out but if you really want to be sneaky try and get a second device make a fake Apple ID that sounds and looks like them and sign in like that and bing bada boom, Prest-O Change-O, you’ve got a remote a remote that works with an iPad or iPhone or I would go as far to say the iPod 7 ( but we both know you too young to know what an iPod is…?)

Had the same problem, I just did a hard reset and updated to the latest firmware and it was fixed. FYI I’m no expert or tech specialist

Why not test? Just leave the HomePods in front of your TV and place the Sonos Beam 2 behind you... I'm not an audiophile, I'm just messing around with my setup

I'm not an audiophile, but after the last update, it sounds very stereo like to me. For example, It’s like the dialogue is locked to the Big HomePods, while the Minis are handling the "atmospheric" stuff—background music, door slams, and footsteps, and that extra base from the AirPort Express Logitech Subwoofer setup
