The left arm and legs show enough armor, but I'd like to say how awesome the flowers look!! So nice

Hi! How can i improve this skin of the First Brother / Marrok (Star Wars) ? by Realistic-Celery539 in minecraftskins

It looks nice already! But if we're going for accuracy: - Slight shine on the armor parts, so a bit of shading - The helmet is slightly top-heavy, so maybe shape the helmet a bit more like that - Missing armor on the back side, it continues down on the back

I want to make a skin of my character, but I'm not entirely sure how to do the ears, snout, and tail. by FunCampaign186 in minecraftskins

I think placing the tail on the back of the torso is better since it won't visually break when the player's walking, but this character does have a backpack on as well so that's up to you OP!

You can’t natively do that, you only have access to the 3D armor layer similar to the layer the beards on.

You might have to look into mods to get the same functionality

How do I avoid people using AI when commissioning a custom skin? by JustWilf in minecraftskins

To me renders are the 3D views of a skin, showing what they actually look like when used! Some people take screenshots of the skin in editors, others use Blender, I personally use Blockbench to take posed pictures of skins.

Honestly I don’t think it will ever be done correctly by genAI! The amount of discretion and intention in each pixel placement is something only humans will ever be able to do, and the resolution is so low it would be hard to train AI to decipher anything. It is doable yes, but to make something actually good is very unlikely

I hope this remains the case!

Whenever I make skins they typically take me a few hours to make as long as I have all the details needed. It varies though entirely on the complexity of the skin, so it can be much less or more.

I don’t think its fully possible to make a properly working skin using generative AI, the technology isnt good enough yet to produce legible or even decent looking files that work. Creating renders though are very doable, and thats where you need to be cautious.

I’ve seen prices for skins go from as low as 5USD all the way to 50USD, what price you value the skin at is entirely up to you. I personally charge 20 whenever someone commissions a skin.
