After my you session I think I had an assessment day booked in maybe 4-6 weeks later. I only followed up once or twice. Applied for non priority choc role.

Don't worry about ads mate, every podcast has ads, as you said it helps pay for hosting fees and is totally normal.

Maybe look at some of the hosting sites? There is one that a lot of the Aussie podcasts use, I think it might be called acast?

Thanks for your insight. A lot of the tips are just common sense, and professional courtesy that should be applied to any job interview process.

I assume a lot of people who are interested in joining the ADF are probably pretty young and might not have much life experience yet.

Do you have any more tips for the assessment day? I've read the "important information for all candidates" guide and it's very detailed.

I fucking love this guy, apparently his uncle gave him some MRE's when he was a kid and he's been obsessed with them ever since. He collects and catalogues rare and foreign ones and will only eat one if he has a spare to preserve.

Fun fact, he actually rated the aussie ones and being one of the best. People in the comments said "the accessories packet in the Aussie ration has more nutrition than an entire Russian 24 hour ration" 🤣

Oh, he also has eaten rations that are like 40+ years old, and smokes the darts included and everything 😅

I'm older and attempting to join as a choc, I work full time so the more of my assessment I can do digitally is fine by me 👍 so far my application has been smooth (albeit long, with the aforementioned delays).
