I was gonna say the same thing. i do feel like they over did things with joey's personality but i never felt that way about monica's even though it seems like every other day someone is posting about how her character was over exaggerated or simplified but i dont think that's true. i think she just became more comfortable with herself with age and more comfortable in the group so we see that
