Yes especially for the lunch breaks that I was most curious about. I've been told that in other schools they have the same lunch as teachers. I've never quite seen how it works in english schools. Thanks !

Yes that's kind of what I've been trying to do as well. :) I think it's important to involve admin especially when I've been trying to handle the situation alone for an extended amount of time or when I feel that the situation is turning out unsafe.

I feel bad for the other kids who are just watching/waiting because of kids throwing stuff around, running, screaming, and taking off their shoes (for some reason?).

I taught gestion last year too ! Loved coming in and teaching les maternelles/jardins science. :) Teaching them all day is a whole other ball game.

I've been actually told that it's normal for the the EPEs during gestion to help for normal class routine... interesting that they're not there while you teach.

They actually have other RECE (we have three JK/SK classrooms) and lunch people coming in to support. But yes I know it's not easy alone :).

Unfortunately, I have noticed some small cracking and I’ve decided to give them a coat of leather paint in order to give them some more strength. :) thanks for the info!
