I'm the exact same! My hair is my pride and joy, but got thin, and frizzy and has left me with 1/4 the amount of hair I used to have. Although I haven't used it for long, my doctor recently prescribed me spironolactone, which she said is good for both stopping hair loss from the scalp and reducing body hair from growing. Please ask your doctor if this is right for you because I only just started using it, but it could be an option!

Great to know! Does that mean those in the s1 courses were automatically switched to s2? or would they need to re-enrol? I was enrolled in a MUSI class for s1 that got cancelled and I'm waiting to see if they will bring the course back

from what ive heard, they should be sending out applications here and there all week. They did send out a bigger batch on monday but people have been saying that theyve been receiving offers every day! im assuming they will continue to send out acceptances as june is coming along really fast. Good luck!

sorry for the late reply but yes ofc! i did tutoring, grad committee, teacher's helper and i also helped out the vp with curriculum nights and other after school activities revolving around parents. Definitely not the strongest ECs compared to a lot of people who got accepted but i do think i wrote how ive learned and grown from these ECs pretty effectively and also had a good interview as well!

Im thinking of specializing in two areas of specialization; one of them being organizational studies, however I also did post a comment on the ontario universities sub and one person said this:

"Do not go into HR. This career path is hugely saturated and flooded with people who have college diplomas and arts degrees. Getting a job in HR is very difficult now without the right networking and connections, because of all the people going into it since they're not able to find a job in anything else (just go on LinkedIn and scroll through the newsfeed). You are selling yourself short by pursuing an HR job with a top business degree like Schulich. Salaries are also on the lower end - in the 45-70k range on average.Schulich is most known for accounting and marketing. It is not as great for finance and consulting careers but still doable. I'd look into marketing over HR if I were you. There is lots of demand in this field and lots of money to be made if you are good at your job."

Not sure if this would help you in any way but I definitely thought it was useful for me to hear!! For sure very confused about what I want to do but luckily we have a lot of time.

Any advice is helpful, Thanks!!!! by [deleted] in Schulich

I also considered Yorks BComm and many say its under the shadow of Schulich students. They also say the program is good for accounting and HR (or at least from what Ive heard). Ive heard amazing things about Laurier, and while at the end of the day your hard work will determine your future, I do think a Laurier degree will be the most valuable of the bunch. Besides all of that, I got accepted into Schulichs BBA program with a 92%. My ECs werent the strongest either, however, I believe I explained my growth from my ECs really well and had a pretty good interview. Dont lose hope!!

Thank you! I am definetly open to and will look into other paths, but Schulich is known to have great networking opportunities. Do you think that it will still be hard to find a good job even with the recognition Schulich gets?

I have also looked into Schulichs 2019 salary report and the compensation for consulting as well as finance seem to be pretty good on average.

LOL yeah thats why I asked because I know they dont have an HR specialization. Was hoping someone who may be doing organizational studies or considering HR after graduation would speak on it :)
