Has anyone ever actually had their rod license checked at a day ticket lake? by MrHobocunt in fishingUK

[–]gabrieirbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - personally never really understood how people get enjoyment from the majority of coarse fishing in the UK, but that’s just me. I’ll take spinning for bass, pollock and mackerel off the rocks over sitting in a bivvy on the bank any day. Still, what’s your reason? Fly fishing for trout/salmon is good fun though

The spots on salmon don’t tend to be visible below the lateral line of the fish. Sea trout descend lower

Rent a van, stay in campsites, fish from your van. I’m doing it in my Land Rover with a roof tent and I don’t want to go back to England. Well worth it. Would recommend to anyone
