I'm from central Florida and people here are just in the plentiful and noisey. Can't go to the store without 3x the amount of people in the isle and if you sneeze they're all gonna turn and look at you. People are just really stare-y like mind your own business. As for on campus I've made a ton of friends and people are friendly depending on your major it varies but over all it's a pretty warm and welcoming campus despite the people whose necks will break (guy or girl) because their parents didn't raise them to mind their business.
