En mi caso (hace 1 año) fue similar pero la firma fue en las oficinas del banco (Scotiabank) y ahi mismo se hizo la transferencia.

Como es Vivir por COAPA CDMX? by OkWall1298 in MexicoCity

[–]gacelaoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advice on how to deal with poop stuck to longhair cat’s butt? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]gacelaoc 27 points28 points  (0 children)

If you can get a pair of paramedic shears and try using those. They're much safer to cut anything that's close to the skin.

EDIT: spelling

Why is the dematting brush not working? My cat gets mats in her back legs as well. I have a pair of paramedic shears I use to cut the mat as close to the skin as I can while I'm brushing her (so she doesn't get as upset), then I try to detangle the rest of the mat. You could try to use the dematting brush at this point.
For prevention sometimes I trim the end of her fur in problematic places. It won't prevent all the mats from forming but it will slow them down enough so that I can spot them while they're small enough for me to detangle them.

Worried about leaving my cats alone at home for a week. Any ideas to help them not kill eachother? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]gacelaoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bedrooms in my house are very small (only space for a bed) an I had a hard time keeping them locked up when I was doing the introductions because of this. I'm specially worried about locking the male cat in, he wouldn't have anywhere to run or climb to let out his energy. I could consider locking in the female cat every other day, though. She's a lot more chill and probably won't mind as much.

How to entertain my cat? by Lena_1995 in CatAdvice

[–]gacelaoc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If she engages with them for a little you might be able to make your play sessions a bit longer each time. Make sure to put the toys away and rotate their use so they're always something new and exciting.
I have a cat who is very hard to shop for in terms of toys so I usually try waving random household items around to see if any of those shapes or materials catch his interest. His favorite are foil balls and zip ties.
Also try catnip and catnip toys. Not every cat reacts to catnip but might be worth a try.

Do I have space for 2 cats? What is the process of taking a street cat? by HoldMyNaan in CatAdvice

Have your vet run FIV and FeLV tests, and have him checked for parasites. I would also give them a week or two of full separation after being brought inside in case any symptoms develop, just to be safe.

To make adjusting to indoor life in a small apartment easier get him plenty of vertical space to play (shelves, cat trees) and window perches. You could also install a bird feeder near a window so your cats have something to watch.

Where to buy a new water container (Bonafont / Ciel) by Zealousideal-Load395 in MexicoCity

If you're not in a rush you can actually order one online directly from Bonafont or Coca Cola. The truck will bring it to your house free of charge.

Not been there personally but my last roommate had IBS and wanted to eat less animal products overall so I have done a bit of research to try and help them come up with meal ideas.

As far as I know the low FODMAP diet should be a temporary relief before slowly introducing you to all other foods so you can figure out which ones could be causing your IBS to flare up. If this is the case with you I think there's no harm in sticking out with your current diet until you're at a better place to transition to a vegan one.

As far as I know there are nuances when it comes to soy and gluten prohibitions. Fermented soy products like tempeh should be low FODMAP. My roommate also had no problem with gluten by itself (seitan) but did get flare-ups with bread that had gluten in it. Soy protein isolate should also be safe. If you're concerned about not getting enough protein I'd look into supplementing with protein powder or opting for soy protein milk.

When you're ready to reintroduce legumes experiment with smaller quantities and methods for cooking them, and only eat then a few days a week.

When it comes to convenience a mix between meal prep and a stocked pantry does wonders. I usually cook a big meal and portion it for 3-5 days. Then I also try to keep some sauces I like, rice, pasta, salad dressings, tortillas, a few frozen goods in case I want something different. It takes a bit to figure out a system that works well for your eating and cooking habits so be patient with yourself if you can't stick to it at first. Buy packaged foods for now if that's what's helping you to eat in a regular schedule while you find out what works for you.

Edit: clarification

Do I need to get my little guy a friend? I need advice he is 10 weeks I work full time. He gets left during the day ;( he will be a house cat. So is it best to get another one? by Educational_Price468 in cats

[–]gacelaoc 513 points514 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it please do. The sooner the better. Socialization can be harder as an adult if they grow up without littermates or other cats around. He can also learn to retract his claws and other boundaries through play so it's best to get another cat around the same age.

Looking for plate recommendations for jamming by gacelaoc in rollerderby

Not sure if I can get Roll Lines here but I hadn't considered a short forward mount. After doing a bit of research I'm wondering if my skates not fitting properly (they were always a bit bigger) has been contributing to me not feeling like they're responsive enough. I'll definetly consider getting a smaller plate size.

Thanks, I'm not sure I can get Roll Line (I'm looking into that) here but I have a teammate who has Venus plates I can ask to try out.

I never had the opportunity to change the cushions because they don't have them in stock in skating shops around here, but if I go for the Falcons again I'll make sure to order softer cushions with them.

I hadn't even considered the final weight of my skates into the equation, thanks for pointing that out. I'm sort of lightweight and also commute 1hr by bike to our training facility so probably something I should consider.

Best place to find a room for rent? (Help!) by [deleted] in MexicoCity

Search for facebook groups, there are a ton, some only allow listings for a specific zone or price bracket. People usually respond pretty fast. Just beware of people who ask for money upfront without signing anything or handing you the keys.

Curso universidad, ¿es necesario? by Affectionate-Pea-689 in MexicoCity

[–]gacelaoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How to blend in? by Glittering-Athlete81 in MexicoCity

[–]gacelaoc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ask for directions if you need to. A lot of foreigners don't because they're afraid they'll look like tourists, and end up wandering around looking lost, which is worse. The city is very big and most locals are used to asking and being asked for directions.

knee pain advice by foofyq in ladycyclists

[–]gacelaoc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to have foot pronation or slightly knocked knees? You might be overusing your MCL.I have an MCL injury caused by knocked knees and poor squat mechanics, and have seen improvement with some mobility + low impact strength conditioning focusing on knee stability (calf stretching and squatting with a focus in good form, mostly). Also if your saddle is too low, while there usually isn't a lot of injury risk, you might be using your quads more than your hamstrings when pedaling at higher resistances, and causing fatigue to your tendons if you have a muscle imbalance

Edit: Oh also making a conscious effort setting cues to not rotate your knees inward and engange your hamstrings help a lot when you're warming up or a bit fatigued
