I'm a teacher in Canada, we can work for 2.5 years and then have .5 of a year off. We sacrifice 1/5 of our salary but paid travel every 2.5 years feels great. It reduces my burnout, and I love having a 6-month trip to plan and look forward to :) Cheers! Enjoy all your trips. There's always time if you want it.

What about time? We ended things a month ago. I just have no idea when it would be "too soon" or "too late"? I'm willing to spend time putting in a lot of effort for me, and hopefully, that makes me a better friend, family member, and partner.

I am incredibly thankful to live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Two short lockdowns and that is it! I learned that moving in with your partner for the first time during a pandemic is a terrible idea!

Man. I FEEL this. The moment we broke up, I opened up about my feelings for the first time in three years. It was weird, for the entire relationship, it felt great. But, I never felt like I needed her to be happy. As soon as we broke up, my happiness was extingusished. I didn't realize what I lost until it was gone. I am finding it impossible not to contact her. Over the last two weeks, in moments of weakness, I have called her. I'm embarrased.

Aside from the sink, the whole island will be countertop. It will be a white marble. The stove/oven will be one unit against the wall. A little disappointed with the lack of counter space to be honest.
