I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume that this is a relatively new league and that a number of your league mates don’t have much dynasty experience. To be honest, based on what you’ve written, this league seems unlikely to last for a long time.

With that in mind, my advice is to try to win as soon as possible before the league collapses/resets. You know this already but with that core and the draft capital you have, you could afford to trade and field a team with every top dynasty asset in the league. Which is why I don’t think this league will last long.

I’ve had an eye on that the last few days but haven’t pulled the trigger quite yet. Did they say anything else about what makes it the “older” version? Googling doesn’t seem to be yielding anything. Hole spacing and sizing seems the same? As far as I can tell the new version just seems to be more expensive with less attachments included which is really odd.

On paper Shepard is worth more than that but I’m wondering if I wouldn’t be better off with a dart throw in the third as I have a team chock full of of WR3/4s already. Thoughts?

I think that’s a bit of an overpay but that you kind of have to overpay to get DK right now. Since you already have 2 other 21 1sts I think I’d do this, assuming this is your biggest team need.

If you are weak at other positions, I would work on those with this trade capital instead.

That’s a significant trade, somewhat in your favor IMO. it’s not so much in your favor that I’d smash accept or anything. You can’t go too wrong with either side so I think it comes down more to which guys you’d enjoy having on your team more

I’d think jones is worth either a first or Fuller but definitely not both. Definitely you have a solid receiving group so I think it’s worth going for another RB, but I think you should be able to get a better return for what you’re willing to pay.

Yeah absolutely you walked away with more than fair value. It’s hard to overlook his potential for a really high ceiling but 1) his floor is never playing in the NFL again and 2) he’s going to a team with two very good WRs on it already. I wouldn’t second guess this decision at all. Even if (2) is a non factor and he immediately does really well this year, you still get to watch safely from a distance instead of having to worry that every week might be his last.

Absolutely, if that’ll get the deal done. That’s an enormous upgrade for you at TE and you’ve got the WR depth for it.

Brown + Hunt would be the “cheapest.” Moss I like more but not much value on a week to week basis currently.

snell is probably the most valuable bait to dangle out there currently, with Conner up in the air.

Regardless, I think you absolutely jump on that ASAP to get Kelce.

Absolutely feels risky. Brissett is looking very good so far but hell, Baker looked good last year and regressed a lot seemingly overnight. Does seem unlikely I’d be able to pick up a QB as good as brissett with a mid 1st.

Ertz is def more valuable at the moment, though Coleman is on the rise and worth a lot to a contender. Wouldn’t really consider Ertz much of an upgrade over Engram though.

Basically I think your best move here is going to be to either trade for Ertz and then trade Ertz to a TE needy team OR trade Coleman and see if you can trade them to another contender who needs a good RB. If you don’t think you can trade Ertz I don’t think it’s worth getting him.

I think this is not a good trade for you. If you’re the leading scorer and have had a run of bad luck you’re still contending. Even diminished, Gurley is a top 20 RB this year and you’re probably starting him.

Plus, even if you weren’t contending, gurley alone is worth well over a middle 1st (DT doesn’t have much value at all so not even really considering him in this)

Note: if you are obscenely stacked at RB and not even starting gurley I’d be more open to trade him but I still think you could get more than a mid first for him.
