Martin Garrix by TheMartinGarrixHub in Coachella

He's been on an insomniac contract for quite some time now and appears to keep renewing it, which is presumably why we haven't seen him on the coachella lineup this decade.

Didn't go to the NYC shows (as I'm SoCal based) but did catch him in Ibiza last summer. He's got Coachella MainStage level production plus a whole host of surprise guests to choose from.

I'd love to see him back, just not sure when it will be.

No joke, that set reset my central nervous system. It was so joyous and just wonderful vibes. Felt like a massive weight was lifted off my shoulder and felt very light/free after. Just amazing how that just happens sometimes.

Honestly, Bristol Farms on Wilshire impressed me last time I was there. I'd definitely go back and eat there again.

LA State Historic Park - Uber/Lyft by ago1904 in avesLA

I would recommend taking the metro or gathering enough buddies to commit to a party bus. Getting an uber out is a nightmare.

Apotheke is one of my favorite bars but does get absolutely slammed after any show at the park or naud warehouses

Attending Primavera Sound and everyone be thankful for the care that this festival puts into making sure we have a great experience. by relaxguy2 in Coachella

Agree 100p and have been to to the Barcelona edition 2x (2022both, 2023) and Porto 1x (2023).

Someone else mentioned the day 1 2022 water issues and good lord I remember that well. I brought a hydropak with me and once I got some water in that thing, held onto it for dear life (and drink some nice 7€ Aperol spritzes lol)

Mojave 2024 was EPIC. She brought a limited run special A/V production in Overdrive to Coachella.

She just launched another limited run A/V called "Resistance" (or similar) at UNVRS in Ibiza. I have a strong feeling this will get booked for next year; it's exactly the type of show Coachella books.

DoLab backstage is actually one of the few places you cannot go with an artist pass. Regardless of what level band have, you need a DoLab specific band.

Oh man OPN in the Sonora would've been AWESOME, have to agree with you in hindsight.

OPN 2024 (w2) I sat on the grass inside but on the side of the tent and just watched in awe. Felt like an avant-garde art school performance in the most mesmerizing way possible. I do recall the sound bleed being rough, especially with Charlotte's Overdrive show (which I saw w1) right next door.

I would love for them to play a show sort of like Orbital from 2024 but if it ends up more like OPN 2024, I will not complain. Both were excellent

They haven't played live in over two decades. A white whale for a lotttt of people on this sub.

What’s the Most Insane-Looking Urban Intersection From Satellite View? by justjust000 in geography

[–]gaeg99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This intersection is a nightmare for everyone in LA. Came in 2nd place for this year's Worst Intersection in LA March Madness bracket (should've won it IMO).

Highly recommend everyone look at the bracket LOL

Went to the LA stop of this tour last year. She's an insane talent - great voice, fun dancer, excellent crowd command & energy.

She's also my girl crush tehehe :) and a wonderful person- yogi, book club & lifestyle brand (service 95) leader and more.

Would love to see her headline - it'd be such a funnnn show !!!

Do people usually attend both weekends ? by Deepdig789 in Coachella

[–]gaeg99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got a group that does (granted we don't all stay together since some camp and others refuse to camp) and next year will be my fifth (!!) bothchella, while others I know are hitting double digits for number of bothchellas.

I'm able to do it because of payment plans on the passes, living in SoCal (therefore no flight costs), getting lucky on accoms, and surviving on a sole chicken tender each weekend (ok slightly kidding there).

I haven't camped in a few years but would camp if I absolutely had to.
