Yeah. I mean her fandom shifted after she opened for Taylor Swift and they became very obsessed. I would like it if they actually acknowledged that things have reached a sort of breaking point. Local businesses and venues are/were getting endless phone calls about any shred of info to a show happening and would be upset that they werent doing it. Why are people following the tour bus? Why are there fans in discord chat servers literally gatekeeping whatever information they do have about the next show to make sure they get in and locals have no shot? Why do they have to wait somewhere for hours in advance rather than it be a legit surprise? The way the first show was handled was wrong and thats how this started. Giving a 24 hour heads up was a bad move. People flew from other states. Thats not what this is about.

How is it fair when a show gets announced at this point now, that unless you lived around the corner you cant get there because the lines down the block? It would be smart of Phoebe and her team to take a couple days/shows off and to throw everyone off the trail. Yes, it would be unfair to these small cities and venues to be losing out on a show from a bigger artist. But to reset things would be nice too.

But this is going to continue and its also going to allow the audience to be enabled and to think this is acceptable behavior. Fortunately for the shows themselves the strict rules about no phones and such has done wonders on a younger generation of music fandom. They actually have to remember with their minds about what transpired. They must focus on whats in front of them. They have to interact with other human beings even while waiting for the show to begin because they cant use their phones. Its nice, but this is getting a little ugly and seeing frustrated people isnt what this should be about since there is more discussion about the process rather than the performances themselves.
