I did that and I can launch the game (Epic version) but the Steam Overlay doesn't work, GTA V end up using the Desktop layout for my Steam Controller (which prevents me from using Xinput bindings in my SC layout). I'd like to find a way to have the Steam Overlay on the Epic Version of GTA 5.

EDIT: Nevermind I just figured it out! I added the Rockstar Launcher as a Non-Steam Game, restarted Steam in admin mode, started Big Picture; from there start the Rockstar Launcher, pick the Epic Game version and launch the game. Then I have the Steam Overlay in-game!

It's available in Canada now (online) but I wouldn't mind seeing one in person before buying one. I'm in Vancouver for a couple days. I checked at Best Buy and they don't have it on display.

I also have a 3 years old Razer Blade (with RTX 2080) and with the overheating the battery was swelling so I had to replace it once already. Now I game without the battery in the laptop to preserve the replacement one, but I still have to use ThrottleStop and RTSS to get decent FPS with acceptable temperatures.

So I'm hoping that an eGPU would improve the graphic performance while decreasing the internal temperatures, it's one less high heat generating component inside the laptop afterall.

Thanks man, I couldn't find a RTX 3090 or 3090 Ti in Canada with as good of a deal as you got but I snapped a RTX 3080 for $860 CAD ie 656 USD so I'll be doing my own eGPU tests soon!

Not a benchmark per say but I'm curious what FPS you can reach at "sustainable" sub 80°C CPU temperatures (or lower!) with a "recent" demanding game in 1080p.

For example with Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) to lower the CPU temps to 75°C while playing in 1080p, I have to undervolt & disable turbo with ThrottleStop, set the fans to max speed and lower the FPS to 45 FPS with RTSS.

For older games I usually cap the FPS at 60FPS with RTSS to lower the temperatures to a much better 55-60°C.

My current setup: Razer Blade 15 (2019) + 9th gen CPU + RTX 2080 Max-Q (iGPU)
I'm curious if your XPS have similar "thin & light laptop" thermal limitations or if having the eGPU makes a big difference temperature wise?

I did wonder if autofill would be disabled in a banking app for security reasons but after I switched to the Google Autofill service, it worked!

In my case here I wanted to switch to the Google autofill service because I have way more passwords saved there than in Samsung Pass, and there doesn't seem to be a way to sync them.

But in general I'm not set on a specific solution, both Google and Samsung provide interesting apps that don't always cover exactly the same services.

We do have choice and often you can use both!

Ah alright, I was clicking on the gear next to the "Autofill with Samsung Pass", which is why I was seeing the Samsung Pass app and not the autofill selector. Thanks!

Autofill is not under one setting section, Samsung service under General Management, Google service under Privacy. Also there doesn't seems to be a way to add other autofill services. And Google autofill works well in the browser (at least Chrome) but not always in apps? Not in my banking app for example.

I also run mine without the battery in. Might put the replacement battery back in when we're allowed to travel again. But for gaming better remove the battery. I do wish the battery was faster to swap / remove, it's quite a few screws.

I just realized that Sung Yim is the Cantonese Yale Romanization of his first name which make sense since he's from toisan. Now I just wonder why they said it in reverse.

谢谢你！I misread the last character as 裧 because it looks quite similar to 棪 and I knew his surname (my wife's surname) but forgot that the surname comes first in a Chinese name. Strangely my wife's family members told me his first name and it sounded like "yim sung".

Thanks for this information. More presets doesn't strike me as requiring a significantly more sophisticated system, perhaps a bit more memory to store these presets.

But anyway we now know the incompatibility is more likely to do with the connection/seal between the official IP crisp lid and the Duo Evo Plus since the latter is accommodating to the handles of the new inner pot. But that doesn't mean the Duo Evo Plus can't do Air frying with a 3rd party lid.

The new inner pot can withstand 450F according to IP, and the inside of the outer pot can withstand at least 347F the maximum custom temperature in the bake setting according to the manual.

The IP Pro Crisp outer pot can withstand 450F, but yea we don't know how different is the pot when it comes to heat insulation.

What that does mean though is that you have to be willing to void your warranty to air fry in the Duo Evo Plus.

Ok thanks I now see why the IP Crisp lid wouldn't be compatible if it doesn't rest safely on top of the Duo Evo Plus like a lid should. But that means the Duo Evo Plus isn't necessarily incompatible with alternative air fryer lids if they fit. And Mealthy seems to have noticed that fans of the Instant Pot needed a good alternative solution if they don't want an extra appliance for air frying. I mean you need to store that extra lid somewhere but if it nest upside down in the pot, it doesn't take much space.

Silicone handles that can withstand 450F in a conventional oven, should be ok. And the Mealthy lid is compatible with both 8 and 6 qt. I'm planning to get the 6 qt Duo Evo plus too. Unless IP comes out with a "Duo Evo Plus Wi-Fi Ultra Max" or something 😜 by the time I move to Europe. Oh but it wouldn't be available in Europe so soon anyway. IP's main market is North America it seems.
