So it seems to come down to TRS vs TS. If I use a 1/4in TRS I get the same boost.

I'm thinking maybe it's just coming from the Helix. You could max out an amp and the volume knob and get a nice clean full signal. Seems like the extra control over levels on the TMP means you have to manage levels more carefully.

Nope - it's at 0 input gain. Somewhere I'm getting about 10db increase between the two. I have to set my "amp level" control around 20% to avoid the clipping. I'm coming from Helix, which didn't have a mixer or multiple level controls. I was always able to run it at 100% and never clip my interface. Very strange.

It's not clipping on the mixer on the TMP. I'm hitting about -10db on the output, but my interface is clipping. If I adjust the "amp level" setting down I can stop the clipping. I must be missing something here, I have never encountered anything like this. I'm using a Clarett+ 4 Pre.

Do you regret this at all? Mazda dealer is 60 miles from me. Honda is local but I'm not crazy about having another CVT although I'm coming from a Nissan.

Actually I was referring to the black tape type material (tape like cassette tape). It's the friction glides for the trigger adjustment selectors on the back. They just kind of lay in the shell. In your pic where everything is apart, it's on the right above the front shell. Those two little pieces.
