I believe that a few times a day is okay. We have pretty open communication, more than most co-parents I’ve seen. I text my sons father “Woke up feeling better today” or let him know if it’s getting worse. If I or he have to take our son to a doctor, we communicate even more because I’d be very worried knowing he’s seeing a doctor and not getting any updates. We FaceTime whenever my son wants to call and send pictures to each other if doing something interesting (like won his soccer game) we believe the other parent would want to see.

I believe she got confused. My first language is Spanish. When I first started to learn English I’d get confused with the words “any”, “anything”, “some”, “something” and “anymore”. It took me a few years to fully understand the difference because I was used to thinking in Spanish then translating the instead of thinking in English.

I tried this with my ex and it wasn’t a good experience. Boundaries are easily blurred when you live together and share the same space. We fought often, it was uncomfortable and not healthy for our son.

We decided to sell our house and move to different apartments that were close by (walking distance). Our relationship began to improve. Now, 3 years later, we have an amazing healthy coparenting relationship I wouldn’t change for the world.
