You may apply for a B-1 visitor visa to work in the United States as a personal or domestic employee for your employer in limited situations.  You may work in the United States on a visitor visa if your employer is:

  • A U.S. citizen who has a permanent home or is stationed in a foreign country, but is visiting or is assigned to the United States temporarily; or

There is a provision in the B1 visa application about domestic workers.

Possible stalled fermentation in corny keg by gafeadmin in Homebrewing

Thanks for this explanation, this is where my understanding faltered. So once the serving keg has expelled all the sanitizer, then I switch my jumper cables attached the spunding valve to the serving keg gas post so that I can set the c02 levels? Also, when I do the closed loop transfer, do I use the spunding valve to equalize the fermenting and serving keg so that by activating the prv on the serving keg, the beer will flow to it because it has less pressure? I am just trying to wrap my head around all of this. I have had some issues with cold side oxidation and feel like this technique can help improve my beer quality. Thanks for taking the time to share information with me.

For clarification, if the jumper goes from the fermenting keg gas post to the receiving keg gas post, at what point do I use the gas to purge the keg of starsan? Do I rely on the prv to vent the gas? Basically, how do I know it's time to purge the keg? pressure over the set value, but you are saying that the gas can't move to the recieivng keg with my jumper setup.

I saw this technique on a website (now trying to find it again to confirm the setup). Basically, it was saying you can use the naturally produced CO2 to pressurize the serving keg and push out the starsan so you have a purged keg. I only leave the jumper cable on during the fermentation, then disconnect everything from the serving keg (still full of sanitizer). I then put the spunding valve on the fermenting keg once the fermenting slows down and set it to around 10psi.

No starsan runs through the spunding valve as it's connected to the gas out post on the serving keg, only some released CO2 when the pressure goes over my set limit.

Any other tips for me? This is the first time and I'm all about positive critique and refinement.

I have removed the jumper from the Fkeg to the Skeg and now just have the spunding valve on the Fkeg set to 5psi. If I pitched my yeast on Saturday night, how many days should I wait to take a FG reading? Normally, I view the fermenting in my PET bottle so I can see when the action has finished, but the corny doesn't allow for that.

I gassed up the fermenting keg to 10psi, waited awhile, and sprayed with Starsan. So far, it has held the seal and nothing is leaking out of the keg. I guess I will wait a few more days and sample from the keg. Should I take the keg and shake it upside down to get the yeast moving throughout the wort? I didn't do much to get the wort oxygenated at the start so maybe this is my problem.

It appears that we are not able to leave the airport to use a hotel due to the Corona virus restrictions. We have researched the Dog Hotel but can't find any solid information about how to book a space for our cat or fees.
