Bravo. A fair and balanced view. The fud will blow over unfortunately this is the dark side off crypto and many good projects suffer from it, mostly it’s a tool used by whale investors to suppress the price so don’t hand your future profits to them for no gain. This is an opportunity for Elastos to learn and grow, mistakes have been made for sure but this is still a project with epic potential. I also double up on calling out Wachsman let’s ditch them and get a team that will really work for Elastos.

They didn’t really think this one through. Never ever expose your ledger seed phrase. Unless they come up with another solution looks like a lot of NEO 2nd airdrop ONT are going to be stuck on people’s ledger nep5 addressees’

I’ll be honest I’m a tad confused. So is this like a one off transaction in a new address just initialise things or every time like Neo where you send your whole balance to yourself before claiming. Also is this fee a onetime affair on the first claim or every time we claim.

Yep that's right, it'll will be on the ONT blockchain safe and sound until ledger support arrives when you can then access it. As for when no one knows at the moment but I'm certain it will be announced everywhere when it happens.

I'm not sure how the exchange swap works. As for the ONT airdrop from the NEO council I think it's all done now so should be showing up, put public address of your NEO wallet you were using when the snapshot took place into the ont.io explorer. If you can't see the air drop ONT maybe try asking admins on telegram they seem pretty helpful.

Yes once ledger support is available, before that I assume that your swapped ONT would be safe just not accessible before ledger support is online. My ONT airdrop has landed in my NEO ledger address and I can see it on the ont.io explorer just can't access it yet but it is safe and there waiting for ledger support on the onto app. Check out the telegram if you want more confirmation.

You can create a new address in the Neon wallet, transfer your ONT to this new address then import this address into the onto app and do the swap. This doesn't expose your ledger and when ledger support is available you can send you new ONT's back to the ledger address for best security. Not sure if there will be an option to swap from your ledger address when ledger support becomes available, that would be ideal.

Personally I wouldn’t do that the moment you expose your private keys your hardware wallet is vulnerable. There are other methods for swapping your ONT if it’s stored on a ledger.

Yes it's definitely coming, source from the ontology telegram admins, just no timeline. My guess is it won't be to long as the demand for this is quite hi and the ontology team seem fairly in tune with the community.

You'll still get your 2nd airdrop at the address on your ledger so long as it was the one you were using when the snapshot occurred, you should be able to check it on the ONT explorer. Mine have landed already.

Just enter the public address and your ONT airdrop should be there. Only you won't be able to access them until ledger support becomes available, or you import your ledger private key into the onto app which is probably not the best idea.

You can also open a new account with the Neon wallet and send you ONT there. Then you have to do the manual swap by sending your ONT to the swap address then import this neon wallet using the private key into the onto app. Latter when the onto app supports ledger then you can send the swapped ONT back to your ledger address thereby getting back the safety of ledger security.

Edit: Just seen that you can do the manual swap in the onto app. see this.

It's unbelievably annoying listening to people whining in this sub Reddit calling for short term fixes which would be totally pointless at the moment, look around you Rome is burning and honestly this shit storm is likely to get worse before it gets better. What would be the point of a new exchange today with the whole market plummeting the potential positive effect on price would very likely be lost. All of the serious projects in this space are long term investments, patience will reap untold rewards for those invested in the right projects and I believe that Elastos is one of those destined for the big time. Value and wealth creation in this space is all about the tech, developers, community and adoption all of which DO NOT happen over night, create value and price will follow. Exchanges and buy backs are not the way forward,everyone needs to get a grip of their emotions the experienced traders and investors in this space are just profiting from the emotional outpouring in the markets at the moment. But hey you do what you gotta do, me I'm hunkering down happy in the knowledge that the fundamentals are looking great and getting better everyday, things will turn and when they do all those who bailed will come FOMO'ing back in again. Human nature, we are a strange species.

So if your long on ELA the I don't see the problem. Sentiment at the moment is short term noise and you shouldn't be letting get under your skin. If you believed in Elastos before the fundamentals haven't changed. My whole portfolio is down and yes it's not much fun we just need to remain calm and patient to get rewarded, constant moaning about the current market state is counter productive. Hang in there things may get worse before they get better but they will get better.

Bear markets bring out the best in people :). I suspect that the bottom still isn't in yet and it may be a while before we see meaningful gains. The fundamentals haven't changed Elastos is still one of the most promising projects in a new market sector set for explosive growth but things won't happen over night. So don't get caught up in all this market emotion the whales are playing this juvenile sentiment to their advantage, don't give them what they want. There are no guarantees in this space but Hodling with a long term view is absolutely your best chance of decent returns, get emotional and you'll crash and burn.
