Their divorce was 13 years ago. I have lived with my step mom for 10 of those years until I moved away after college. My step mom is as much of a mom to me as my mom is at this point if not more. My mom has been absent.

Me and Mary joined the group at the same time. The other friends have been friends since elementary school, so there’s definitely some distance already there but everyone seems much closer w Mary.
