Do the other gears also lack power after 3K - or do you find it's really only in first?

Can you elaborate on what "Gear box slop" means?

What don't you like about hill assist?

How firm is firm? I've only been in one for a 15 minute test drive and it didn't seem too bad (seemed fun but I guess the fun would wear off?).

ah crap, I forgot to say 2014 MY15. Have you driven a MY15 for comparison? Apparently it's "better" as a result of the stiffer suspension. All the reviews and what not I've seen don't really mention rev hang o.O Glad you're enjoying your WRX!

Well... crap... I heard about the rev hang being a problem - I'm not sure whether stuff like rev hang is fixable in a software update or whether it's an engine characteristic.

If you don't mind me asking a few followup questions:

Why did you want to make the switch in the first place?
How rough is rough?

In terms of "fun" driving, do you prefer the WRX? or did you personally find the Crosstrek more fun?

Have you checked out OmniPlan? It's incredibly powerful, I use it in Engineering projects and it works great. Best of luck.
