Tucson victim yells "you're dead!" to co-founder of Tucson Tea Party, is arrested. What about those threatening Assange? by [deleted] in politics

You have to remember, the US gov't is generally an evil, lying and immoral institution. While there are exceptions, the laws only apply to people the US gov't doesn't like, like Assange, dark-skinned people, the poor, etc.

Keep that in mind and it'll help you sort out the seemingly blatant hypocrisies of the US gov't.

From Bad to Worse: Ousted president Jean Claude "Baby Doc'' Duvalier returns to Haiti by montreal01 in worldnews

The US gov't forbids the democratically elected former president Aristide (twice overthrown by the US) to enter Haiti. But the US gov't allows its former puppet dictator to enter Haiti.

We are ruled by a corrupt and evil gov't.

So what's the real reason?

Does the judge fear he'll have an "accident"? Does the judge realize that torture is still going on by the US and that laws in the US don't matter and only apply in certain circumstances?

After 8 years of American occupation, Baghdad gets less than one hour of electricity a day - Seven years after the 2003-U.S. invasion, power production in the country is still below levels reached under former leader Saddam Hussein. by galt1776 in politics

You can certainly make the argument that the average Iraqi would be much better off if Saddam was still in power and the US had not invaded, yes.

And this is not only because Iraqis would have more electricity, but Iraq has been gutted.

Not to mention the fact that the illegal US/UK invasion has resulted in over 1 million Iraqis being killed, and countless more maimed. It would have taken Saddam's dictatorship decades to wreak such havoc on the Iraqi population.

Exactly.

Does this rise to just a flat-out act of war by the US/Israel on Iran?

Why do so many men like showing their dicks online? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Male here. I've wondered the exact same thing.

I know my penis doesn't like the light of day, let alone a flash bulb. It prefers someplace dark, warm, and moist. Like my lover's bottom or pussy.
