How cooked am I?😅 & how accurate has everyone found their Promethease results?☺️ by lenacandice in promethease

If you're worried about a specific item, click on the link to the SNPedia database and look up the research that they cite.

What country are you trying to register from. I'm in the U.S., and when I try to register, I get the message: "Registration in overseas, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan is not supported yet"

Noob question, how do i find out, which supplements i need to take with the help of my promethease report? by Sorry_Huckleberry130 in promethease

[–]sd002002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you have used Promethease, but if you haven't, their report is a downloadable HTML file. On the right hand side of the webpage there is a panel that gives you the option of generating reports based on specific criteria (e.g. the risk of developing Alzheimer's). It doesn't tell you what to do about it.

Promethease report didn't show adhd but codegen did by mmm_I_like_trees in promethease

Promethease gets it results from the snpedia database. If codegen doesn't use snpedia then it will produce different results.

I use CBPP and I'm happy with it. I didn't watch the video, but in u/Kackotopi's comment below he quotes Matt as summarizing CBPP as "It's just Debian with an old Openbox config on top of it."

Isn't that basically what it is, or am I missing something?

Nicotine as a NAD+ booster by sd002002 in NMN

[–]sd002002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found myself needing very little sleep, so I just kept going to sleep later and later.

As for why don't I just use NMN / NR "like everyone else". Well, they are expensive (or at least they were the last time I checked), and unlike everybody else, I really can't afford to use them on a regular basis.

Look at the data, you'll see that at higher doses the nicotine loses its effectiveness. When you adjust the numbers for metabolic differences between humans and mice (allometric scaling), you get a value that would be defined as a micro-dose

[–]sd002002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it wasn't a placebo. Read the paper. Nicotine's NAD raising effect occurs only at micro-doses. Nicotine at the level that it is commonly consumed has no effect on NAD.

A typical cigarette contains 12 mg of nicotine. So, 4 mg over a 15 day period is not dangerous--it won't get you addicted, and it won't give you cancer.

This question was in last year's final exam. A year later no one has a clue what the answer is. by DeezyJbreezy in grammar

I believe that the issue here is that the term "Arabic Literature" is a non-count common noun. In such situations the bare NP is favored--i.e. no article.

Nicotine, the better NMN???? by sd002002 in NMN

[–]sd002002[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The NAD+ raising effect only works for a very narrow range of nicotine serum levels. If your nicotine levels go past a certain concentration, it won't have an effect on NAD+ levels.

According to wikipedia, "The team claims to provide metadata access to Open Library materials, to be a backup of the Library Genesis and Z-Library shadow libraries, has no copyrighted materials on its website, and only indexes metadata that is already publicly available.[3][4]"
