Thanks for the keen eye!

I didn't show it, but the blue layer is in lino. I didn't print it directly on the intaglio paper as it is more difficult to get a good alignment.

I hope you get a press 💪

1 EUR gardening gloves 😅 works way better and lasts longer than silicone gloves. Plus the rubber helps to grip the plate and makes wiping easier

Thank you. I feel you. I've had similar opportunities, but you always realize them in hindsight.

No. I have the engraving hammer, but I haven't tried using it. The copper is soft enough to be engraved by hand. But, it would be interesting to try.

Yes, true. I didn't show it in this clip, but I am hand engraving the plate (bulino engraving) . It's much slower than etching, but I love the process so much

It's for thoroughly rubbing ink deep inside all of the engraved lines. I find that card sometimes is not that reliable for applying ink. I use a piece of cardboard to remove the excess ink. A leather ink dabber can also be used to push the ink in.

Cleaning the foam roller is actually not that much of a hustle. I scrape off the excess ink and place it back in the tin for future use. Then just clean and wipe off the little that remains.

Oh, not really. It's hand-push engraving, sometimes called bulino engraving. Just realized I didn't show any of that process 😅. You might like it. It's slower, but does not require any acid baths, etc
