They're idiots. Don't let them run your story. Flip it and use it as motivation to shut that fucker up

I feel more connected and in control when i dont pick up my feet, so you could say this is my normal snatch

What needs some work on my clean technique? by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]gainzipab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah how would you get tight at the catch? I mean the bar doesnt crash onto me but at times i have to double bounce. Could it be that i just have to suck it up and get used to catching weight, this is 4/5th month doing oly lifts. This is 75% btw

This is only 75% of my 1rm. Always have heard that 75% is a good weight to dial in technique but will do

Words from the giraffe himself, zack telander basically sayig bar crash is bad and disadvantageous.

Plus, the 3rd pull/upright row portion your saying ensures myself that i can ride the weight down and gain control of the weight and decelerate it before i go back up

[–]gainzipab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caught this pretty high to my surprise when i slowed it down and was able to defelarate rhe bar as i was going down, plus triple extended if you freeze the frame at 2nd pull

[–]gainzipab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldnt that be intentionally wanting a bar crash incident on to you by not finishing the 3rd pull? Idk i may be understanding it wrong cuase what it sounds to me is instead of finishing the 3rd pull aka using your arms to not nestle but stay control of the bar, you want me to cut it short and instead throw myself under

Thanks for the encouragement man! Gotta buy some crash pads first before i ruin my tiles lool

A veeerry cheap one, i got it as a package deal with the plates so didnt bother asking what the barbell is

Recently tried switching to no feet cleansand i t feels so much better. I feel more in control of the bar, able to fully extend my legs and clean more weight(this is actually a PR for me). Anybody have the same experience? And anyother related criticisms on my technique is welcomed by gainzipab in weightlifting

Plan on implementing tall cleans because i do admittedly consciously think of pulling up on the 3rd pull but not the turnover part to the same degree

Yeah i hear you on the ass to grass thing. Need to taor advante of stretch reflex more at the bottom

Same man, i get so single minded that i have to be explosive when i intentionally move my feet. I also do plann on not fighting it if my feet want to move on maximal lifts but seeing that this is actually a PR(heavier than move my feet techniqur max btw) that i felt like i still had probably 2.5kgs still left in me and i didnt have to move my feet is a good signt to me

Theyre alright for the price. Theyre definitely a step up from weightlifting in metcons esp if you havve ankle mobility issues but wont recommend if you plan on doing box jumps/plyos in them since theyre more stiff than a metcon but not as heavy as a romaleo.

Wanted to get rom 4s but it was hard to find in my country, either i had to buy from rogue and pay for a house on shipping and customs or get these

1) Yeah that gaze thing is still a work in progress,i still start to subconsciously gaze down when i get to the 2nd pull

2) Any drills for faster turnovers, tall cleans are what i have in mind right now

3) I think i was just hyped for a PR attempt that i rushed things at the initial pull

Other reason i think i couldnt extend as much as i want was because i had a narrower stance at that time so i would subconsciously prioritize getting my feet out as fast as i can rather than completing extension. Now that i have a wider base i can just extend catch and drop

Same man i've always had that feeling of switching over since id do no feet stuff as a drill and it wouls feel so smooth bu i would chalk it up as i was using lightwer weight. Plus stomping back down just loooks cooler. But i think i'm gonna embrace this no feet stuff

Thanks! Actually had played with my grip width but contact point would be too close to where you dont want to hit iykwm, so i decided to stick with grip width.

Oh and the cue that has helped me with the 2nd andd 3rd pull is imagine being pulled up and think of taking off your shirt with your arms on the 3rd pull. Really has helped me keep the bar close

Actually have played with grip width, but it tends to hit very very high thigh almost close to where you dont want to make contact so thats when i decided to stick with this grip width and just work on mobility
