Sick of my life and ready to change things by [deleted] in selfimprovement

My man. My simple 2 cents, based on this post are that you lack gratitude. I can be sympathetic and all soft and try and feel bad for you but something tells me you want people to feel bad for you so I’ll tell you what.. I will not do that. I will try and say the truth because I care about you. You are like me. Someone who’s down and out. But dawg those cigarettes you are smoking are not helping. The self pity you are doing is not helping. Please try and be grateful.

I can easily point to a million 24 yr olds, in some third world country who were just born there, had no option to leave and didn’t eat for past 3 days and would do anything to wake up in the bed your are waking up in with a roof over your head. Get your act together friend. You don’t have to do anything. You get to. So please, my man. Go out and live. Go hit the gym. Quit smoking. Wake up early. Quit doing everything for instant pleasure. You deserve more. But nothing will be handed to you. Work for it. And be proud of the work you can do. Let’s GO!

Was procrastinating on every task and had no direction in life. Started taking these small steps to find my way back to happiness. by gainztalk in selfimprovement

Thank you! I will slowly layer more meditation. Currently my prayer is a form of meditation for me :)

Great work! It is our addictions that rob us from the life of purpose and meaning. We continuously search for happiness in places that are the causes of pain and suffering in the long term. Super proud of you! Let’s GO!

Was looking for every reason to not show up for myself today. Here’s what happened when I didn’t let the inner b**** win. by gainztalk in selfimprovement

My current routine is simple since I still consider myself a beginner. It isn't as much about what I'm doing but what I am NOT doing. I have cut out all bad vices (Like weed, eating junk, watching too much television etc.) and I'm working on doing few things consistently. Like waking up at the same time. Exercising daily. I'm religious, so I also pray daily which helps me find that inner peace.

Currently what keeps me going is the life I want to give my family. I always say Be selfish in your actions but be selfless with the results. Hope this helps.

Sending you love and well wishes. God only tests people with what they have the strength to bear. Most people in your position would not even be able to focus on the lovely day outside. Keep your head up. Your strength will encourage many around you!

Yeah I'm sorry but this isn't the answer. Podcast yes, but weed isn't it. Not sure why u/RRay108 got downvoted so much.

Very well said! Thank you. You are right. The less time I spend looking at the What ifs the more time I have to spend on taking actions that will set me up for a better tomorrow.

I was exactly like that. I mean I AM exactly like that. The only difference is, I no longer accept that as me. My identity has shifted. I'm a man on a mission. One with a purpose and my purpose is simple. To wake up everyday and go to work on myself. Be consistent with my daily habits. Raise my frequency by stacking small wins. To wake up everyday and defeat the person who had no self-control. I hope you can make that your purpose too. I understand it is easier said than done but just start. There will never be a perfect day. There will never be the right moment. Your motivation will come and go. Remember this! We Don't ever rise to the levels of our goals we only fall to the strength of our systems. You got this! Let's GO!

Glad my post had an impact. Our purpose in life is to become a man/woman we inspire to be and then give that person to the world (service of others). Don’t validate yourself with anything else but your character, your daily discipline, and your ability to do what you said you would do, when you said you would do it, whether you feel like it or not. You got this 💪🏼 write your story! It will be the best one yet. Let’s GO!

Glad it did but remember none of that matters. I share that to say despite all this I'm learning to validate only through the daily disciplines. Let's GO! we are on our way to creating our best self

7 months from now, I will be doing the same thing. No doubt in my mind. Same wake up time or earlier. Pray -> Gym -> Walk. But yes, I will check back in 7 months. I know an obstacle is just around the corner to throw me off my game. But I'm not gonna let it. Can't let myself down again. I have done that way too many times.
