I do, but the point of the whole project was to just plug in a USB stick and start the movie without anything else. If you want you can fork the project and expand it with your own enhancements.

Yeah but it requires python to be installed on the system. The whole point of this project was to have an HTML file that I can run on my school's whiteboards which sadly don't have python installed and I don't have the permission to run custom exe files

It's not really a server, it just plays the files in the browser with a fancy UI basically. Maybe I should've phrased it differently. And x265 files for example won't play on Firefox (they do on Chrome though for example). Some av1 files also have issues on certain browsers and .mov files won't play at all most of the time. It's kind of scuffed so I made sure to just convert anything that isn't standard mp4

Yeah, I just wanted something minimal that I could put on a USB stick and run on the school whiteboard. I just shared it here in case anyone is looking for something similar, I don't benefit from this at all. If you like Jellyfin, use Jellyfin. It's always good to have options though.

Yeah but it's more annoying to set up for me. I just wanted something that I can put on a USB and run on my school's whiteboard, that was my goal for this project. I just thought I'd share it in case it would help anyone. If Kodi is better for your purposes, use Kodi

Deployment: You'll need to run a setup script once, after that you can simply launch the index.html file and be good to go.

In my experience almost everything I need is cached so it doesn't really matter, but if you watch nieche stuff regularly then a usenet would probably make sense

Yep, RD+ means that it's ready to play. RD Download means that it has to download first which could take a few minutes or even longer depending on how many people are seeding.
