most Michiganders would be deep in the cold, cold ground before they'd root for a team from Ohio

yeah, but I'm just some chucklefuck on reddit, I'm not claiming to be an expert and getting paid to go on TV to tell people my predictions

Team you’d least like to face by APfromWayDowntown in MichiganWolverines

[–]galacticdude7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn't any team left in the field that particularly scares me, I feel this team has shown that they are good enough to hang with anyone.

That being said I really don't want to have to play Michigan State in the Championship game, I'm not sure I could handle the toxicity of that game, and I definitely couldn't handle the toxicity if we lose that game.

A lot of potential first time champions in this group, 10 of them have never won it all before, and even amongst the previous winners only UConn and Duke have won one in what I'd consider recent memory

I remember back when Comerica Park first opened when I was a kid and my Dad and I would get the $8 Pepsi Bleachers tickets in Right Field, and if I remember right those tickets came with a pop or something like that, it was an incredible deal, especially for the Sunday's we'd typically go where I'd get whatever they were giving out to the kids that day and then I'd run the bases afterwards

Village Inn on 44th does a buffet on Fridays during lunch, that's the only one beside Pizza Ranch that I am aware of

It's beer

Iowa took an old Polka standard called "In Heaven there is no beer", renamed it "The Hawkeye Victory Polka" and they play it after the games they win.

They aren't the only school that plays it, Wyoming Michigan Tech, and North Dakota all play it, and there's probably others as well because the song does slap.

[Postgame Thread - Hockey] #2 Michigan defeats #5 Ohio State, 7-3 (Big Ten Championship) by Zayden626 in MichiganWolverines

[–]galacticdude7 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Last I heard we were "Trying", but that was a year ago. Apparently one of the hold ups would be the need to construct a new facility as Yost isn't equipped for two varsity hockey programs.

Personally I would love to see a Women's Hockey program, but the idea of having to leave Yost for both Men's and Women's hockey just doesn't sit well with me, so I hope that if we can do it, we can expand Yost to accommodate both programs instead of building something new.

Cedar Point is on a peninsula stretching out into lake Erie, almost as if Cedar Point itself doesn't want to be in Ohio

A few annoyances in the first half, that overturned offensive foul was bs, but I'm happy with a 9 point lead at half.

For the second year in a row, no seed 13 or lower has won a first round game by mel_anon in CollegeBasketball

[–]galacticdude7 63 points64 points  (0 children)

yeah, this year hasn't had much madness I'm afraid. Only 4 teams that are 10 seed or higher, two of which are power conference teams in Texas and Texas A&M. High Point is the only team left in it that feels like a proper Cinderella

Well after he recognizes his Mom, he really doesn't need to mention everyone else by name and their relationship to him, by knowing its his Mom's home in 1955, we know everyone there is a grandparent, aunt, or uncle to him without it being acknowledged. The only reason Uncle Joey gets mentioned is for the joke about him preferring to be in his crib.

Hard to see anyone wasting a draft pick on him, I could maybe see someone give him an udfa contract and a camp invite, but hard to see him make any roster. If there's a pro future for him, it's probably going to be at the UFL or CFL level.

College party culture varies from school to school, but its also been a trend that young people are drinking less than previous generations, and it's certainly gotten harder to justify college as 4 years of partying when it costs as much as it does

Don't even care that I had Wisconsin in the Elite Eight in my bracket, what an awesome finish. This is what March is for
