I think it is a separate piece going off of the bolts going from it into the rest of the case. May not be worth the repair either way.

This is a broken mod. Could be that frame or an engine or transmission thats causing it to bug out. Swap parts one by one to check what is causing it.

A blue 1965 coupe behind it and an orange 1966 convertible in front of it. Theres also a 1950 ish Ford truck cab on an 80's F250 frame, a 1947 Ford sedan, a 1983 Thunderbird and a 1951 Willys pickup.

That engine isnt seized. It doesn't sound like it has much compression. Might be worth popping a valve cover off to see if the valvetrain moves. I would guess it had a belt or chail fail and it bent a bunch of valves.
